By Spencer . October 4, 2013 . 3:09am

From shooter game to visual novel, Liberation Maiden Sin is definitely the most surprising sequel of the year. Here’s the game’s opening movie complete with theme song from Marina.

Liberation Maiden Sin comes out on December 5 for PlayStation 3.

I’m loving the art direction. I’m not sure what to expect since I enjoyed the game on the 3DS, but I’m getting this for sure.

Last I saw this wasn’t getting localized. So no point in getting it unless you know Japanese.

Fortunately, my Japanese is currently around N2 Level so I’ll be able to get by (hopefully) my imported copy with just a dictionary for the more difficult kanjis.

What are these levels? You’ve got me curious.

They indicate a person’s proficiency in Japanese (and if I’m not mistaken, in other languages as well). N2, I think, is around conversational level because N1 afaik is specialized learning, where you study specific terms such as in business, science, etc.

It’s a real shame that since this is a Visual Novel this will most likely be Japan only, I really enjoyed the 3DS game.

As someone who has recently played and beaten the first game on 3DS, I really want this badly….

I’m still questioning the decision to make it into a visual novel though…

Still hoping someone like Aksys decides to pick this up for localization, but even that seems like a stretch unfortunately :/.

  • InfectedAI

I’m still hoping it gets localized, but it probably won’t.

hope this become anime … played in 3DS, hoping the sequel was released in 3DS too or at least other Nintendo console

  • Cael

Still hoping for a proper sequel and not this VN harem shit that doesn’t even have Shoko as the main character. The LEAST they could have done was putting in actual gameplay segments.
