“It’s a nice surprise, since the initial reports ages ago suggested we’d only have 1v1, 1v2 and 1v3 fights. Each mecha will come with its own associated cost, and players get to select any three they want as long as it fulfills the total points criteria for a map.”

That aforementioned snippet gives me the impression it’s similar to Capcom VS SNK’s “Ratio” system.

The cost system is the same with Gundam vs. Good joB NAMDAI.

I do believe they also said that it has 2v2 capabilities. (The “base” is probably the “new” 3v3 and it just allows any combinations up to those maximums, depending on cost and whether a player wants a “respawn” or not. The whole “1v3, 1v2, etc.” probably just stems from this news that it actually handles 3v3 and all of the other cases are just subcases of it.)

Also, I am surprised that the Gespenst is actually the original model, given that the Gespenst RV was in the one screencap from the PV.

I’m liking the art direction a bit more, but still not sold on the game.

    Also, Katina or GTFO!
