Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Expanding Into Netcafes

By Spencer . October 16, 2013 . 3:18am

imageNetcafes in Japan host a number of online games like Monster Hunter Frontier and starting today Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

You don’t need to subscribe to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn to start playing it at a netcafe, you can use a registration code from the cafe to login. If you like Final Fantasy XIV you can transfer your character into a dedicated account once you are a paid subscriber and play the game at home.

Why would you want to play Final Fantasy XIV or any game in a netcafe instead of at home? Well, netcafes in Japan rent out little rooms with a PC, a chair, and unlimited soft drinks. It’s a quiet space where you can zone out in private.

The net cafes in Japan are way nicer than the Korean PC bangs – The net cafes are so comfy I would use them instead of a hotel when I use to do visa rus to Fukoaka – they have showers/free drinks/ a huge selection of DVDs. Anyway, good to know FFXIV should get more players

Damn is S-E are reading my posts or something on this site? It’s like suddenly they got confidence in their products and games as soon as I pointed out they aren’t confident in their MMORPG when they should of put it all in or none at all?
