You Only Have One Week To Get This Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd Demo

By Spencer . October 16, 2013 . 11:39pm

hatsunemikuSega just released a demo for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd, but it will only be around for one week. On October 23 (Japan time, of course), the demo will be removed for the PlayStation Store.

The Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd demo has three songs "Akasuki Arrival" from Last Note, "Romeo and Cinderella" from doriko, and "Colorful X Melody" from Team Moer.

If you have a Japan region PlayStation Network account you can download the demo here.

  • Thanks for the reminder, I forgot this was coming up. Should have brought the Vita with me to work.

    • TheExile285

You can use Sony’s web PSN to get it and then it will be in your DL list

  • Time to download

  • FetusZero

Wish the demo would of been PS3 as well.. I have absolutely no desire to go through the entire process of switching accounts on my Vita just for a demo -_-

    • Erikdayo

Was just about to post the same thing.

    • LM009

this they made it such a hassle on the vita

      • Erikdayo

Indeed… :( And while I prefer star notes on the Vita via touch swipe, I’d rather just play on the PS3 for a few reasons.

        1. Don’t feel like resetting Vita.
        2. See if double swipe star notes work with the arcade controller.

I’m guessing the double swipes will not work with the arcade controller. A PS3 demo would answer my questions very quickly.

Try downloaded to your PS3 and transferring to Vita via USB. Worked for me without resetting Vita on other games.

      • Erikdayo

Eh, what? I’ve never heard of that working because it should be tied to a different account than what my Vita is currently set to. It actually WORKS? If so, awesome.

        • taekk

Well it worked for DLC so I’m not sure for full games. I downloaded on PS3 with my JP account, then switched to US account. Connect to Vita with same US account and the games were available to transfer so worth a try.

          • TheExile285

DLC or demos? Early Vita demos weren’t region locked

          • taekk

Oh ok, I guess it probably won’t work then if newer demos are region locked. I’ll give it a try later tonight.

          • TheExile285

So it was just demos? Damn…

There are a few Vita games I wanna import but I don’t know what to do about the DLC >_<

          • Erikdayo

Yea. You just have to reset your Vita every time you switch between a US game and Japanese game, basically. It’s pretty terrible. Really takes away from the benefits of a region free device.

          • washunter

Well, I don’t know about DLC, but I can tell you’ve that I’ve tried this with demos and it doesn’t work.

      • FetusZero

Haven’t tried with this one, but I’ve seen a couple of demos with which it worked, though it wasn’t all of them. It’s worth a try though and from the looks of it, no one has tried with this one yet (or at least, in the replies we received). Though Erikdayo makes me think he tried and it didn’t work :/

      • taekk

My bad, this demo is region locked as wel. I didn’t realize Sony started to region lock everything down. It’s really too bad and just unnecessary hassle for consumers.

  • Xerain

Looks like i got my second memory card just in time.

  • Dsvkb

If I just “buy” the demo, will I be fine to download it later?

    • Erikdayo

      • Dsvkb

Okay, awesome. I’ve had an account for a while, but I don’t know if I feel like switching it over just for a demo right now.

  • LM009

oh well you can probably only play on normal anyways I would’ve loved to try it out but resetting vita is a huge hassle

  • TheExile285

I’ll just download this to my PS3 if I ever feel like switching my account on Vita to play it.

Last Note PV was pretty good.

It’s a much smaller download (160+ mb) vs older game (460+ mb).

You can’t swap models, clothes and accessories.

New star notes are pretty good adding a bit of diversity to the gameplay.

You can also change the sound effect of each kind of note.

Load times seem bad with Last Nove (Luka and Miku) about 20 seconds :P

Thnx for the reminder! Here’s my impressions:
    – the visuals and music were simply impressive, I was blown away by the effects and the improvements to old PD2nd PVs. Colorful Melody was especially good, it felt great to play it! Also, ending effects for the old stages, whoohoo!!!
    – bummer #1: c’mooon no memory of song records??? Records/sound settings get wiped every time you finish a song
    – bummer #2: a 4th song like Kochira Koufuku would have been most welcome :D
    – the new star shenanigans: Akatsuki on Normal kinda wiped the floor with me (11 errors, and I usually perfect Hard ones with no problems), I feel it’ll take a while to get used to it; also, the more options leave you on your toes, since you never know what the song will be throwing at you next, all mixed together.
    – little and awesome UI changes, like the special light effects on the note orb in the lower left
    – bummer #3: no song-specific modules for Arrival, only the default ones T_T

  • Seriously hoping this makes it to the states :) Or will we have to petition for it like we did with the last one?

  • RoseTech

Dammit I missed this. Guess I’ll just have to buy it
