Soulcalibur: Unbreakable Soul Trademark Spotted In The U.S.

By Spencer . October 16, 2013 . 2:50am

imageSiliconera caught a second trademark for Soulcalibur: Unbreakable Soul. On October 11, Namco Bandai registered Soulcalibur: Unbreakable Soul in the US for use with video game software and computer game networks. That suggests Soulcalibur: Unbreakable Soul will have online play unlike the single player free-to-play game Soulcalibur: Lost Swords.

More interesting is Namco Bandai also filed a trademark for Mappy Land, the name of an old NES game. Perhaps this has something to do with the Mappy animated series and a re-release of the 80s video game.

A new FULL SC-game? Yes, please. Yes. I did mention yes? Yes.

  • Given the title, it sounds like if it might be another title similar to “Broken Destiny”, with a, um, “Unique” story-line.

Man, I did not know that Mappy had a new animated series. May check it out once I have the time, looks like it could be fun.

    • It is kinda fun! In an “Over-the-top, So bad, it’s good” kinda way! Plus, just like the Bravoman Animated series, it has Japanese subtitles!

I’m still waiting on a new Klonoa trademark, Namco…

Hopefully they spend time on SP than MP, since SP is the important part of Soul Calibur

I certainly hope its an update to sc5 if its not a new one altogether. Great gameplay but the story was so underwhelming and turned lots of people away since many fan favourites were replaced with no real reason given in game.

Wonder how this game will be …
