Falcom Has Another Patch For The Legend Of Heroes: Trails In The Flash In November

By Spencer . October 18, 2013 . 2:42am

Falcom is still ironing out bugs in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash. Another patch scheduled to come out in early November adds features like a fast forward function when you hold X. The patch also improves load times, fixes typos, and other bugs.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash came out on September 26 and a patch that improved loading times was released on October 3.

  • I hope this patch also adds a localization announcement lol

    • Kyle McDaniel

It may be years before this gets localized, and that’s a big if unless someone other than XSEED starts localizing Falcom games

      • leingod

What worries me is that it probably depends on sales of the PSP LOH game XSEED announced not too long ago… not sure how well that’ll do.

        • DesmaX

I think that’s pretty obvious. But for the PC version, of course

      • Slayven19

        Years are better than never

    • Tatsuya Fabre

This game is amazing. Better learn Japanese or keep quiet!

    • Crimson_Cloud

      One day… one sunny day…

  • cyberkinghardy

I don’t need the localized version (which is impossible anyway). just give us the date for asian release already TT_TT
there’s always the trial and error system when playing jrpg :3

    • Mar Mar

I pre-ordered the Asian version from Play-Asia but I couldn’t wait for it so I cancelled my order and got enough Yen PSN cards to bought it from JP PSN ><

      • cyberkinghardy

wooo nice, but I don’t like changing memory of vita and psn account, i only have R3 so ill just wait even if it takes forever ^_^

  • klkAlexar

I don’t get it. Isn’t this a prequel? Why wouldn’t we get it before the other games? Or is this a prequel to another game in the series? This keeps bugging me.

    • Lynx

      Its not.

Trails in the Sky > Second Chapter > Third Chapter > Zero/Ao > Sen

      • MrTyrant

I read Sen no Kiseki first part happen at the same time as Zero no Kiseki, the second part and lastest chapters in the game are Ao no Kiseki related.

        • Lynx

You heard correct. It happens at the same time as Zero and Ao.

    • MrTyrant

I read kotaku articles saying this over and over again. Sen no Kiseki is not a precuel of the first game, if something the events ar co-related with Zero-Ao because it seems they happen at the same time.

  • MrTyrant

How bad are the bugs? because I think Zero evolution had multiple bugs as well.

    • fqc

Very serious. There’s a bug making characters stand up in the air making you able to see their panties.

      • 紅蓮

Damn, I want my copy arrive before the patch is up

        • MrTyrant

          Because panties?

          • 紅蓮

What other reason valid enough except for Fie’s pantsu?

          • MrTyrant

            True that’s a valid reason.

          • To my knowledge, the bug is only with Emma.

          • 紅蓮

            That’s sad. I want my loli Fie pantsu ;A;

      • XiaomuArisu

        Problem is?

        • fqc

          That they might fix it.

          • XiaomuArisu

      • Now that’s some impressive horse riding lol

  • JuhRo

    English… patch…? :)

    • MrTyrant

international release for all next kiseki games too.

  • rurifan

The load times in this game are so bad I don’t think they will ever get them reduced enough for the game to be enjoyable.

Falcom should’ve stuck with the style they’re good at. Their old engine looked better, and Zero no Kiseki Evolution ran great.

    • Ferrick

3 seconds of loading time is too long ?

      • rurifan

Yes, depends on when and how often. Load times in Sen no Kiseki are way longer than 3 seconds, anyway. (It also has junky little hiccups where it freezes for a half-second loading stuff on demand during gameplay..)

I have it on PS3 and the load times make it unenjoyable. I feel *really* bad for people who bought it for PSV though…

        • Ferrick

i have it on psv, and the loading time is not as bad as people make them out to be, the 3 seconds loading time is the time i have to wait during transitions and it has never went over 3 seconds for loading in my copy, hell i’ve been playing it for over a week and it had never froze on me at all

          • I also have it on Vita and loading times are often way more than 3 seconds.
            No freeze at all though.

          • Ferrick

i guess it’s just me then, not like it matters since a patch is coming soon

and yes, zero freezes is lovely

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

While i realllllllly love Falcom games, i really hoped that Falcom would pay more attention on ironing their game here.

This is already the second time, they released their game filled with bugs and loading problem.T_T Hoped that their upcoming games will be free from most of this problem

    • What was the first time? If it was Zero Evolution, that wasn’t Falcom. That was Chara-Ani releasing it and they were responsible for getting it out and patching it.

  • dis be gud

I don’t particularly care about the load times. But Christ I hope they patch the game up so it doesn’t load absolutely everything from disk. Having the game getting stuck for half a second every time something gets loaded seriously takes away from the enjoyment.
