Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land Adds Animal Crossing-Like Features

By Sato . November 7, 2013 . 5:31pm

The Harvest Moon series is mainly known for having you take care of crops, raising livestock and living your life, but it looks like Neverland are taking a page out of Animal Crossing’s book for their next game. Now, you can go swimming and will also have more interior decorating options in Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land.

Most of the item creating and crafting will be similar to past installments of the Harvest Moon series, where you’ll be gathering resources to create new objects.

However, while previously we’ve always been able to make adjustments to the interior decoration of your home, Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land will allow you to go further than just your wall paper and floors, as you’ll also get to create furniture like cabinets and more.

That’s good news for those of you who are keen on your color coordination skills, as the game will have plenty of different objects with various colors to make your perfect home.

Character creation will also be seeing more customization options, as it will have similar choices from Harvest Moon: A New Beginning, with the addition of optional accessories such as hats and glasses.

Harvest Moon: Connect to a New Land will be available in February 2014 for Nintendo 3DS.

It gave me a heavy Puzzle Pirates vibe.

    • JustThisOne

Haha, to be fair, it’s not like you’ll be able to see it up close often. xD Kind of makes me curious to see what the other characters look like up close. :P

  • Excitement!

Time to put what I’ve learnt in RF4.
Remember to bring the fridge when you go fishing. If only we can put the interior furnitures outside as well.

Might as well go camping no?

This should be a good game guys. They are following the same formula as New Beginning so it’s fine.. A bit disappointed about Hometown Story though..

  • Nan

Yep, looks like ANB+. Not that I’m not excited for it.

  • When this is localized I’ll definitely be getting it. One more reason to keep my 3DS :D

  • I really hate not being able to move the bed. Did they change that in ANB? Because if not, they need to here and now.

Sounds cool! Maybe in the future, players will be able to do small tasks for villagers in exchange for special items/extra money, too.

That character model is not so attractive, though… didn’t they at least have noses in A New Beginning?
