Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2nd F Will Use Art From Fans

By Eugene . November 8, 2013 . 1:35pm

Earlier in the year, Sega held a competition that ended in August, for fans to get their work featured in upcoming rhythm game Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd, and it looks like winners have been decided.  In order from left to right, the categories on that page are Casual Costume designs, Custom Items (that you can wear or place on Miku and others), Loading Screens and Background Screens (respectively in the photos below).

You can also take a look at some of the other amazing contributions here that didn’t make the cut. Some of those are below.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd will be released in the spring of 2014 for both PlayStation 3 and Vita with these fan-made additions.

That Luka design is too busy, probably why they did not chose it. Love the ensemble tho.

  • From what I’ve seen, there’s a selection of some really awesome art! I loved the art used in the first Project Diva-f, it was nice to see art in the game that I actually recognised from the internet. So hell yeah! The more art the better!

Yeah, SEGA’s been doing this since the very first Project Diva game. It’s a nice touch. They make for some nice wallpaper on PSP and Vita via the screenshot functions~

Makes me really miss the fanart and professional/doujin artist works in Soul Calibur games. I really hope the newest Blazblue and Guilty Gear has them too. But I miss Soul Calibur galleries so much. I think every major Japanese games should use fan art. Senran Kagura has some really amazing ones (yes, many actually aren’t purely pornographic).

  • Warboss Aohd

so……….how long did it take ta get through all da rule 34?

    • Shippoyasha

      Probably not too long. heh

I visit Rule 34 sites and was curious about Vocaloid, but disappointingly, even in very erotica oriented sites, most are actually work safe.

The only game in the series to -not- use fan-submitted art was Extend…
