Released just today, Killzone: Shadowfall is one of the PlayStation 4 launch titles. Surprisingly it garners only above average reviews, with an aggregated Metascore of 74 out of 100 (side note: I personally take review ratings, especially mixed up scores like Metascore, with a healthy dose of caveat. In the end, they’re just aggregated numbers). While even the 74 score may be a “mixed” review for some, most critics agree that Killzone: Shadow Fall is a great highlight of the PlayStation 4’s graphical prowess.
If you’re one of the early adopting, day-one buying PlayStation 4 owners and you haven’t bought a copy of Shadow Fall yet, there’s a great release day deal at Newegg’s eBay Store, making the PS4 launch title only $44.99 with free shipping – a strong 25% off discount. Quantities are relatively limited at 3,800 units and will end after being sold out or next week, November 22 (but honestly its likely to sell out).
This is the fourth big AAA title this fall we’ve seen Newegg discount heavily with a limited quantity on release day. The previous ones being Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and The Last of Us. Most of these deals usually go out of stock at their discount price within 2-3 days.
If you’ve bought Killzone: Shadow Fall, let the rest of us know in the comments if its a worthy grab, especially at the $44.99 price. (By the way, we wouldn’t bother with the “expedited” shipping since you’ll only get it a day earlier and at $19 – pretty much negating any savings you’d get for waiting vs buying at retail).
