Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn 60% Off Tomorrow & Black Friday (Now Live!)

By Viet Do . November 27, 2013 . 2:05pm

Update: Deals are live :) Details below

If you spotted Square Enix store’s Thanksgiving sale from earlier, you’ll probably notice that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is now 50% off for the next couple of days. Definitely a great deal, but you should probably just wait ONE MORE DAY to save another 10% during this Black Friday weekend

Both Gamefly Digital and Green Man Gaming will also have Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and its Digital Deluxe Edition on sale starting tomorrow at different time frames through this holiday shopping weekend. Both retailers are also at 50% off but the bonus factor is that they have a stacking 20% coupon code (making it 60% savings overall).

  • Gamefly deal also live now, ends Dec 3.
    • $11.99 for base game
    • $19.99 for digital deluxe edition
    • US and UK-only
    • Use coupon: GFDNOV20 or GFDNOV20UK

While $3 or $5 in savings isn’t a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, any money save is extra game time in my opinion.  We don’t think the game will be any cheaper this holiday season and it will unlikely hit this price point again until 3+ months later – so if you want to wait a bit more, that’s the time horizon we’re estimating.

We’ll update the post with direct links to the deal when the deal goes live tomorrow. Is 60% off enough to entice you into the world of Eorzea? Let us know in the comments.

Yes. Very much yes. I’ve always wanted to get back into the game after playing open beta and this is the perfect chance!

    • ninjabart122

I never had the chance to try out the closed beta even though I did get a key and did manage to install it.

Now seems like a better time than other to try the game out.

      • AokiShizuku

FFXIV:ARR and it is by far the best MMO I’ve ever played. I highly recommend you give it a shot. I just wish SE would put out a trial for the game so others can try it out. I just wish it was buy to play rather than pay to play. Still, I understand how SE can make big money off of it.

        • ninjabart122

I can understand on why they want it to be pay to play considering how they nearly collapsed from a couple of bad moves.

If I remember, their previous MMO endeavor nearly ruined them.

          • Kai2591

oh. now that makes sense of why they adopted such a payment model.

    • My friends and I have been waiting for such a sale. I mean its not a whole lot in the grand scheme of things but since it wasn’t game #1 on our list, you might as well wait.

Is this for PC only, or for consoles too?

  • harmonyworld

hmm…probably should have waited, but I still got it at an okay price and I’m having fun playing!

  • Duo Maxwell

Can I buy this game and hold off playing until later? Right now I don’t really have time, but this deal is something I don’t want to miss.

    • SuperSailorV

  • Maybe I’ll buy it for PC. I’ve been playing on PS3 but would like it on PC too.
