Dress Up As Saber, Archer And Rin In Phantasy Star Online 2’s Fate/Stay Night Collaboration

By Eugene . November 29, 2013 . 2:36pm

Has it really been that long now? Just about over a month ago, we brought word that Fate/Stay Night equipment would be coming to Sega’s Phantasy Star Online 2 online RPG as part of a collaboration. It’s now available in the lucky draw scratch card store, and players will be able to obtain Tohsaka Rin, Archer, Gilgamesh and Saber’s outfits and even weapon skins.

There’s also Fate Kaleid Liner Prisma Ilya and its “Sure, why not have one of our characters be a completely cute magical girl in an alternate world” Ilya in her magical girl outfit. Ruby Red, the living wand/weapon she wields, even moves around convincingly as a living weapon in Phantasy Star Online 2’s world.

You’ll also be able to actually get them to be who they are if you try your hand at the voice tickets in-game as well. These let you change your voices to match, and the team managed to get the original voice actors to voice new lines just for this collaboration.

If you want to hear just how different Fate/Stay Night and Prisma Ilya really are, try scrolling all the way down on this page where some voice samples are taken, especially the middle, Voice 2 notes. Ilya’s is voice number 5.

  • Chaos_Knight

    Stop teasing us… ;_;

  • Surgeon of Death

    GArcher PWNS ALL.

    • Thatguy

      It seems, Gilgamesh downvoted you.
      Because, you know… Faker.

      • Surgeon of Death

You just gotta be that guy, don’t ya?

  • Otoya

Haiz…. Others getting all the fun and we are here getting promises that havent been fulfilled for monthssssss. LOL

    • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

Actually, Sega never made any promises far as the PSV version goes. The PC version though may as well be a lost cause~.

  • 하세요

I may pick PSO2 back up again during my Winter Break. I just wish it didn’t overheat my laptop so bad. Can’t complain though, I’m surprised I can run it at full speed.

    • Bobby Jennings

This is the same case with mine too.

    • Leon_Tekashi

This is why I stopped playing on my laptop. Until i get a better computer, no PSO2 for me. =(

      • 하세요

It was to the point where I would have to play with my laptop on my fan.

Like, my actual freakin’ fan. Full blast.

      • Renaldi Saputra

I can play it but become very lag at weather effects or skill spamming

  • Leon_Tekashi

You know, when PSO2 DOES come over here oversea, I wonder if we’ll be able to get all of these special costumes.

    • Byron Kerrison II

…Is what I’d like to say but you never know.

    • Masa

me and my friends have been waiting so long that we are about to give up, i cant see it coming over here now which sucks!

    • SyrusYuki

Well there is a small chance we might get the costumes if the game ever comes over. Phantasy Star portable 2 had a Saber and Archer costumes and we got them in the US version

    • Zak Ledward

Well, if you think about how the Tales of series NEVER brings over their crossover DLC, I wouldn’t put it above SEGA<–This guy, to do the same. Gotta think about all the licensing they probably had to do to get these things in here, doubt they'd be willing to do it again (and pay for it again). Though I'll just cross my fingers and pray that they do (when this game eventually comes out).

      • Raltrios

Project X-Zone renewed my faith in developers pushing through localization Hell, but Tales does indeed remind me that only few people have the guts to fight it…

        • Zak Ledward

Project X Zone was a game MADE OF crossovers, its the intent of the original creation (at least in my opinion it is). PSO2 on the other hand, has its own universe to draw content from and doesn’t “ride on” DLC crossover content like Project X Zone does. I know PXZ has its own OCs too, but c’mon, did you buy the game for them or Kos-Mos x T-Elos

          • Raltrios

Whether or not it’s DLC or in-game content, it’s still localization hell when you have to deal with so many characters and franchises.
And I bought mine for Yuri and Alisa :P

          • Zak Ledward

            Good Enough

  • Tenabrus

    Meanwhile outside of Japan….

  • Sergio Briceño

    That’s it! I’m learning japanese!

    • 하세요

There are hella patches to play this game in English. Technically it’s against ToS but no one is going to rat you out for translating text. Plus there’s no way to find out unless you use macros that will put up translated text.

      • Sergio Briceño

I was torn between my love for PSO (really wanted to play the US version with my old friends on PSO when it came out) and my new found love for PSO2… But I think my love for FSN triumphed in the end. :)

  • Zak Ledward

Too bad Saber’s weapon camo is like 8m and her voice-ticket is like 5m. If you aren’t lucky in the AC Scratch, you most likely won’t ever see these things in your inventory; such a cruel existence T^T (has only the costume and hair).

    • Ferrick

if only (fake)Agito can be sold as high as it was before ._., could buy both in a flash

      • Zak Ledward

If only Madoka and Homura costume and weapon camo didn’t drop to below 300k the instant the event finished (tear)

    • Brandonmkii

Some cool dude put Excalibur and Ea on the shops for about 200k each this morning. I grabbed both :3

      • Zak Ledward

Sir, if you ever find yourself searching the market and find another one, I beg of you to grab me one orz (<–Solemn Bow)

  • Xerain

With cross overs like this is makes one hesitant to try the western release should it ever happen, as cross over DLC rarely make it to the west.

    • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

Actually, the crossover FS/N clothes for Phantasy Star Portable 2 did make it to the West back in 2k10~.

  • FlyingPony

Damn it. Very cool costume, but I cannot even play the game.

  • Kornelious

    …..Why am I even here? :(

  • natchu96

Gilgamesh is probably both pissed that someone has tried to steal his identity and angry that such a terrible copy of Ea has been made.

It’s unique. It tears universes apart with one swing. Nothing can live up to that weapon.

  • Seven of The Scions

Let me share some tears for those who feel the same…

  • leingod

This game is a myth, right?

  • Neppygear

    Rin, my baby.

  • Niermyico

Wooo, its about that time for me to log in and get those costumes! :D

  • Renaldi Saputra

maybe I need to wait until they drop the prize..
evenf if it comes overseas, seems I will stay on JP server, I’ve been getting used to it..

  • 하세요

I gave in with friends to hop back on x.x I’ll just abuse the cold weather and play next to my window xD Beat the overheat!

  • Christopher Flores

I give up on PSO2. As excited as I was when I heard the announcement, at this point, even if they brought PSO2 overseas, it’d be worse off than PSU was, and PSU western sucked compared to eastern…

I really wanted to play this game properly… the english patches are nice, but they just… they miss something in the game.

    That’s right… dialogue…
