God of War: Ascension Director Joins Crytek

God of War: Ascension director Todd Papy has joined Crytek, the designer’s LinkedIn profile reveals (thanks, Polygon). He is currently working on an unannounced project as a game director for the company.

While one might assume that Papy has joined Crytek USA, a relatively new studio consisting of the team that worked on Darksiders, he’s actually relocated to Frankfurt, Germany, where Crytek’s main headquarters is located.

That was though, I just fear they made put BS difficulty Trophy, instead of Hard with Nice armor.

Note: Nordic Games own Darksiders IP

    this should be interesting.

if he’s in it wont atleast be an abomination.
i mean i crytek is stupid enough for a sequel(which they kinda confirmed) …MS clearly wouldnt let their best man in hack in hack n slash spend time on darksiders..instead they’d prolly rope in the darksider guys towork with ryse 2.

Maybe, just maybe their games can include gameplay one day

    • I’m not sure who (or what) you’re talking about. Both Santa Monica and Crytek develop very gamey games. God of War and Crysis are both heavy on the gameplay.
