Want To Take To Love-Ru’s Yami To Bed? Now You Can.

By Eugene . December 8, 2013 . 12:30pm

PlayStation Vita game To Love-Ru Darkness: Battle Ecstasy will be shipping with a limited edition version. And inside that limited edition version is this:

Yes, that’s Yami aka Golden Darkness as a bedsheet. This is, arguably, taking the TTT, or Trouble Touch Time, mode of the game to its logical extreme.

The game comes in a special edition box, and also has a code reel for Momo. If you preorder a “Sexy Apron” downloadable costume code will also come along for the joyride. And it looks like yes, all the girls important to the series are going to be in the game if that cover is any judge.

To Love-Ru Darkness: Battle Ecstasy will be available for the PlayStation Vita on the 22nd of May, 2014.

Wow Eugene. This article title, lol.

I don’t want anything from the SE but man I like that box.

  • Sentsuizan_93

    …..Where do I pre-order?

  • HerosLight

I wonder why they chose Yami over the others.

Japan likes Yami the most? If they do, they have excellent taste.

    My favorite next to Momo.

    • LM009

Unless it’s the fact Yami is based off Eve from Black Cat, I think it’s more to do with TLR Darkness being ongoing.

      • HerosLight

        That too.

    • Servant BerserCAR

      I… I can’t choose. Just can’t….

    • Romancer Ecclesia

Excellent taste indeed. Makes me wonder whether the demographic has a preference for these type of girls. Tharja was immensely popular back in Fire Emblem: Awakening too.

    • Monterossa

Momo is the most popular in Japan, according to many poll they made.

    • I think it might be that the show is named after her? :3

  • neocatzon

Want to check the law before ordering this.
    psst, no Momo?

  • LM009

    y no kotegawa? ):

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Wow, I’m surprised this article wasn’t written with passive aggressiveness towards fan service.

  • Guest

hahaha my family would kill me if they saw something like this in my apartment its so Moe they cants handle it even if i hide it they find it i dont know how but they well thats why digital tech is a bliss

  • Callonia

Yami’s my favorite even in first season.

  • xAtKx

The PLOT is strong in this one.

  • Chaos_Knight

Welp, looks like I won’t be sleeping on my back anymore.

  • biskmater

Hmmm, I don;t know that girl with the single braid…, must have shown up after I completely shut out this manga a long, long time ago.

    • MogMoogle

The one on the bottom right? That’s Mea, introduced in the Darkness series of To-Love-ru.

  • Guest

  • Pdugna

who is the chick to the upper right in the deep black hair? don’t think I have ever seen her in the anime.

    • MogMoogle

I don’t think she appeared in the Darkness anime series, but she definitely is a character that was introduced in the later parts of the manga.

    • TheExile285

apparently she is a new addition from TLR Darkness.

    • PoweredByHentai

      That’s Nemesis from TLR Darkness.

Easily my new favorite character in the Darkness series once she showed up.

    • Romancer Ecclesia

Yea I was thinking the same, but I dropped the manga years ago, might have been a new addition to the harem. Still… oh god Yami. Do want.

  • sakusakusakura_nyo

Besides the fan service, is this anime any good?

    • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

yeah if you like fan service lol

    • TheExile285

not really. its good for fanservice and comedy but you should watch the first two anime instead for that instead since they do it better (To Love-Ru, Motto To Love-Ru).Darkness tries to keep the fanservice and comedy and have a somewhat serious story but it doesn’t do a good job IMO.

The original manga is the best part of series IMO. The first anime does the typical “take the manga premise and do an original story” type thing but Motto TLR focuses on the 2nd half of the manga until the end and TLR Darkness picks up after the original manga’s end.

    • Renaldi Saputra

depends.. if you like typical harem, sex jokes, and lot of ecchi fanservice, then it’s a good thing for you..

  • makubexnas

    Did you say BED??!!

  • raitouniverse

    > “And it looks like yes, all the girls important to the series are going to be in the game if that cover is any judge” >No Rin >No Sale

    • Christopher Nunes

      Isn’t it Run?

      Oh wait, nevermind… >_>

  • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

I’m calling it, this game will make it to the top 5 on launch week~.

  • Uso Ewin

All the more reason to wet the bed

  • Demeanor

Look at all dat plot. XD I’m curious to see sales numbers for this, I’m sure Siliconera won’t let us down XD
    Also, Mikan FTW XD

  • katzedan

    it’s so sad that I don’t have a Vita and don’t know japanese :(

    • I doubt you would actually have to read anything.

      • katzedan

        yeah, I know xD

      • Zak Ledward

It’s not if you “have” to, it’s “would” you.

Son, there are better things in this world than words

  • Roberto

    Cool and i liked
but i wish it was lala or nemesis

  • RichyGaming

All of you perverts are misunderstood. The title meant you will literally carry that person to the bed, say good night, and then leave through the door. It’s Love-Ru after all.

  • Phoenixian Sama

    Just what I always wanted~

  • Yami was and is my favorite character from the whole series since season one and now this? I don’t know japanese but I’m sure going to get the limited edition of this! I do have a question, though, the pre-order bonus is for what girl? I’m guessing Momo but I dunno.

  • Tyler Beale

Too bad we’ll never see anything like this, let alone the game being localized…

    • TheExile285

Im sad the manga never got released state side. Only the anime did :/

      • Christopher Nunes

The anime got released stateside? When? The first one, right? o_0

        • TheExile285

          The first anime and Motto

No Darkness yet but I’m be sad if we didn’t get that too

          • Christopher Nunes

Is it dubbed in English or just English Subs? It’s nice to see the anime exposed over here, but why wasn’t the manga licensed over here? I wouldn’t mind getting IT and the Darkness one as I like both of them very much.

I wonder if Shizu Murasame and Rin Kujou, I kinda want to see Shizu in the Harem as well. :P

          • TheExile285

My guess about the manga is that its too ecchi which is a shame.

          • Christopher Nunes

What? I’ve seen people localized “h-material” manga in the West and they don’t want to localized an ecchi manga? Makes no sense.

And why sub? They couldn’t afford English VA? I would’ve love to see what the characters’ dubbed voices would be.

          • TheExile285

I like most dubs but i think its harder to dub comedy anime like this well. The Hagnai dub for an example is really bad.

          • Christopher Nunes

            Never see it.

What about a fandub of To-Love-Ru? Any good ones at there?

          • TheExile285

Never looked lol. I still need to get the TRL & MTLR DVDs lol.

BTW, Hagnai isa funny anime. I recommend giving it a try if you haven’t.

          • TheExile285

Skip the dub though. Lines are altered so it ends up being less funny.

          • Christopher Nunes

I see, I’ll give the show a try at least.

Got a favorite character from To-Love-Ru? Mine’s Yui. I love Tsundere girls. ^_^

          • TheExile285

            Mikan & Haruna

          • ShadowDivz

            Mikan? Imouto fetish?

          • TheExile285

No. She’s not MY sister ;P

          • ShadowDivz

I see what you did there. *wink wink*

  • Christopher Nunes

I don’t see Run on the cover there, but she HAS to be in the game she’s been looking forward to getting it with Rito for a LONG time now! XD

This might be the first Vita game I import from Japan, but do I need a Japanese PSN to play the game or need to get the special download codes to use?

Anyway I love a good RPG and just curious how Rito and the girls ended up in the situation they are in. And I’m not particular interest in the TTT mode, but the battling and events with the girls and the story… how will Rito mature in it? ^_^

Looking forward to it. When does it come out?

    • TheExile285

Yeah, for the codes you’d need to switch accounts which is a pain. Depending on when I get this, I’ll probably just end up ignore the outfits. I’ll redeem them on my JP PSN but I don’t if I switch accounts to use them.

      • Christopher Nunes

I see, wish the darn thing wasn’t tied to the memory sticks (that was stupid IMO) and I need to get another 16GB one. I already have a JPN PSN because I made one for my PS3 a long time ago so I can use that.

And who’s the bugger giving everyone a votes down here? I don’t really care, but you go into a site to vote down on people for something they like even if it’s perverted? Do they have nothing better to do?

        Anyway thanks for that info.

    • Renaldi Saputra

I think it’s not an RPG, but action.. or maybe Action-RPG? I didn’t remember

      • Christopher Nunes

It’s an RPG nonetheless. There’s a HP and SP bar which is common practice for RPG games. They stated it was in the other article when they first bought it up.

        • Renaldi Saputra

          oh I see, then it’s action-RPG

          • Christopher Nunes

            A third-person action-RPG dungeon crawler actually.

  • dahuuuundge

Only if we get a lewder Yami on the back side.

  • Romancer Ecclesia

I really, really hate it when japanese companies know exactly what fans want and how to perfectly force us into begging them to take our money. <3

    • TheExile285

Really? I wish more companies were like that as long as they don’t screw with us lol

  • SprintsMcGee

It says it’s coming out March here but on AmiAmi it says May. Can someone clarify the correct date?

    • ekibyougami

Because it is to be released on May 22. Siliconera (most especially this writer who posted this) usually tends to get his release dates (and some of the facts) wrong.
He’s the same one who posted the wrong date for Project Diva F 2nd to be June instead of March -_-

      • SprintsMcGee

I see. Thanks for the correct information. =)

  • SlickRoach

Not gonna lie, as a lonely guy I’ve always wanted one of these sheets…

  • KnifeAndFork

    That’s pretty sad…

  • leingod

Can’t say I care about the bedsheet, but oh, how I’d love to get the game. English subbed, that is.

  • Ah! That cover is missing a few of the girls I root for.
Anyways, I will most likely pick this up @amiami this time around and nab that preorder as well.
For anyone that follows the series: If you watched the Anime only, the manga does a much better job of telling the story there since the first season went a bit original but it was still good. Motto stuck a bit closer to the manga though, and Darkness got a series of its own (including some juice OVAs to die for). While the manga for Darkness is a bit more serious (it actually has a plot), it does tend to take its time doing so and has a few filler chapters but still delivers.
I honestly recommend it to whoever dropped the manga to watch the anime and pick up from there onto darkness.
    It is just lovely.

    • 40

That’s interesting. No wonder it took me a year to finish the first season. I didn’t really get into it until the latter part and Motto. It’s kinda funny how the series gradually became more hardcore ecchi each with installment.
Let me ask you, does the beginning of the manga that covers the first season contain as much ecchi or is it more chara development like the anime?

      • Oh man, the echi is not as abrupt like the anime, there is a bit more story to it. But to me it was still quite there.
As for Darkness it has definitely been turned up but they seemed to have found a balance for a while there.
So we are getting more story out of darkness than ever.

        • 40

I thought the first season was pretty mild. I dunno, its been a while but blatantly ecchi shows were kinda rare back then. Well, getting a bit more out of To Loveru is never a bad thing so I’ll give the manga a try. Thanks

  • Jindan

Oh pls god of gaming…Localize this game for all the fans.

    • Renaldi Saputra

nope, this has very very low chance. sorry

      • FlyingPony

Doesn’t means its impossible. Just lots of work and battles to be done..

        • Renaldi Saputra

I said low chance not no chance, so yes

  • Lifestreamer

    Kotegawa or GTFO.
Also one last thing, Eve (Black Cat) >>>>>>>>> Golden Darkness/Yami.

  • Zak Ledward

    *Looks at screen* O>O
    *Looks at wallet*
Wallet: “Don’t worry about me *cough* get…Yami!”

  • fairysun

    Man, Golden Darkness.
I like her character(Eve, where her character based from) in Black Cat .
Her innocence and curiosity made her lovable.
In TLR, she’s just one of the many harem where you can see her breast and panties in every other episodes.

    • HerosLight

Eve (Black Cat) will always remain my favorite out of the two since I watched Black Cat first.

It’s as just as you said, her personality in Black Cat made her more lovable and cool.

      Also, nice pic. Saved.
