Kirby: Triple Deluxe Has A Versus Mode Where You Battle Other Players

By Ishaan . December 18, 2013 . 7:23am

Kirby: Triple Deluxe is coming to North America and Europe in 2014, Nintendo announced this morning. While the game is slated for a January release in Japan, no release window has been provided for the west.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe will allow you to move Kirby into the background and foreground to dodge enemies and solve puzzles. The game will have a new Hypernova ability, which powers up Kirby’s inhale ability and enables him to suck up everything in his way.

As previously reported, Kirby: Triple Deluxe has over 20 different copy abilities. Four of these have been created specifically for the game.

Additionally, the game will have two new modes apart from its regular story mode. Kirby Fighters will let up to four players pick one of 10 copy abilities and then battle it out with each other. Meanwhile, Dedede’s Drum Dash will require you to press buttons in sync with Kirby music while jumping and collecting coins.

It’s important to add that 4P mode is local only.

    Which should surprise no one.

I think NIntendo’s servers have too many games being used.f

Monster Hunter, Kid Icarus, Luigis mansion,Dr Luigi, the other two online games ect ect

      • InfectedAI

That’s a silly excuse. And even then Monster Hunter is Capcom. Unless Nintendo is hosting the servers so Capcom can’t shut them off whenever they feel like it.

        • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

Yes they’re hosting the servers. Lots of Nintendo games have local only or online randomly. Being the point here.

That is a silly excuse and this is why.

You know what peer to peer is don’t you? It is extremely cheap and easy to implement because it requires no dedicated server, it can be done through software which then just uses a players connection to be the hosting point for others.

Of course because of that it isn’t so great compared to a game with an actual server, if say the host has a terrible connection for instance but it’s still something.

I am just saying I wish a lot of Nintendo games just at least used peer to peer, this should be one but sadly I have a feeling given even Super Mario 3D World on Wii U was local, this won’t be different. I know I am not the only person who doesn’t have good friends that live near them anymore…

Really sucks when you can’t play games with your friends simply because the only option is local multiplayer. I don’t know anyone near me who owns a 3DS or Wii U either.. Odd I know.

        • Laer_HeiSeiRyuu

          Lets be straight here though.
If you dont want to play Mario through an Xbox One you sure as hell do not want to play it online.

After all you have Hyrule Warriors for that

Where did you see this, any links? I can’t find any actual confirmation on what the mode supports although it is practically a given with Nintendo games these days that it will be local like you said.
