    Single player Soul Calibur.
    sigh…
I’m gonna take a moment of silence for this._.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z also offline single player only. There is no offline versus or co-op. Online… only…

This is the real downfall, kind sir. The bottom of the barrel. When a fighting game has no local versus mode, there’s no hope left in gaming industry.

So this is basically a tekken revolution but with the soul calibur franchise instead?

No. You get to keep playing without having to wait and also, theres a tag mechanic/support in this game too. Unlike in Revolution, this game uses a “AP counter” instead of coins/tickets and your AP stock isn’t relying on time and it also refills faster too. So you could either keep on playing the free AP matches that doesn’t require any AP to kill time until your AP that you used to advance forward get’s refilled back. Usually after playing 1 or 2 matches your AP should go up by 2 counters so it’s more faster than Revolution as far as “Free To Play” Goes. Every time you beat a full quest, your AP bar/counter refills up fully and the counter bar for your AP also goes up to another level. Also, you get to actually level up your characters to give them enhanced Weapons and enhance Super moves too. Ones with cinematics, while the regular ones are guard crushes/launchers and stun. Think of synthetics from Kingdom Hearts and stuff where you use gems you earned from battles to enhance your character’s weapons, abilities, armors, fire attacks/ice, light and darkness etc. And your super moves too. Which requires gold that you earn from battles/selling items you don’t really need. Also, if your inventory is full in this game, you’ve to either use your items to synthesize with your weapons/gems or just sell them to be order to keep on playing too. Otherwise it’ll tell you that you can’t go onwards to your quest cause you got too many items that you need to use to enhance your stuff to go onwards into the harder quest that have 5 or more characters against you/harder challenges who actually combos you and stuff.

How do you know so much about the game? Did you get the info online or have you actually played?

        • http://youtube.com/RyeANDRinGaming B-Dazzle

I’ve already played it. And got far into the game to actually understand the mechanics and stuff. And trust me, the game IS FUN, no matter what anyone says about it. You just have to learn how to take advantage of the tag/support and synthesize whenever possible so your attacks, armors, items, weapons and super get’s a heavy boost so you could enjoy the game and advance further into any quest that are harder than expected. :) Should know that the game well be getting more updates with characters and such if theres enough support from the game, just don’t believe in any of the hate on it just cause it’s single player.

I didn’t hear anything about this game being demoed anywhere. Is it already available and out in another country?

  • http://thespellcraftcolumn.wordpress.com Rudolph Consuegra

Why add Pyrrha when there’s already Sophitia who she replaced?

    • HIROYUKIMKII

if you knew anything about how to play Soul calibur, Pyrrha and her mother play nothing alike despite using the same weapon. Omega plays more like Sophie

      • http://thespellcraftcolumn.wordpress.com Rudolph Consuegra

Well, Pyrrha was essentially Sophitia’s replacement with added anime moe-ness. I just don’t think we need two sword-and-shield users. There is no question though that Nightmare would be added though but two sword-and-shields should be enough.

        • HIROYUKIMKII

yeah you really dont know anything do you? why not have more Short sword and buckler characters? its like you think all shotos in Street fighter fight EXACTLY THE SAME.

          • Justin Grant

I like how you bold EXACTLY

        • Monterossa

I want Pyrrha cuz she’s cute.

  • http://youtube.com/RyeANDRinGaming B-Dazzle

Astaroth lookin’ sweet! Looks like it’s the original Astaroth instead of the one who kept replacing him over and over again. lol

  • tarbis

Nightmare, Astaroth and Sophitia. 3 of my main already playable. Who should I use first. Tough decisions.

    • ndjn3979

      Sophitia 11A[A] is your answer

  • fairysun

I think they need to add Cassandra.
    Just to complete the set.

    • z_merquise

Seeing that pic above I have to say, I really love the art in Soulcalibur games but I find it disappointing that the in-game 3D renders aren’t as impressive as the hand-drawn illustrations were.

    • Ronldbx6

Cassandra’s pretty badass, I kinda miss her. Like Talim, she would’ve also fit well in SC5.

      • ndjn3979

        I miss her ass

  • Ronldbx6

I hope they eventually add Tira. She my main and favorite.

  • Crimson_Cloud

Glad to see Sophitia, don’t really like Pyrrha. I’m pretty satisfied that it’s a single player though. Not a good fighter player so I get my ass kicked a lot online. I just hope they put more offline content in the future SC6. And for God’s sake don’t push few years ahead again or we will lose even more old and lovable cast.

  • Time Sage

Sigh… So uch for any sort of storyline…

  • artemisthemp

    Talim is missing
