Arc System Works has a mecha loot game called Damascus Gear: Tokyo War Begins. Players control a mech you can customize by picking up parts from robots you turned to scrap. The game is out now for PlayStation Vita on the PlayStation Store. Damascus Gear also has a demo if you want to try it first.

I’m interested. Let’s hope Arc System Works brings this westward!

    • Ric Vazquez

      Agreed, like, localize now!

  • Mark M

Monster hunter, but in robot form !

    • Kaetsu

      More like Diablo.

This video reminds me of how much I want a Baldr Sky translation. I hope Arc System localize Damascus Gear, we need more mech stuff in the west.

When you say “out now” without mentioning “in Japan,” you know you’re pointlessly getting the hopes up of the people who are actually going to read this article, right?

Maybe people will learn to read the articles this way.

          But that’s too much work!

      I know right?

You could play a similar game Hawken if you strive for mecha combat like Virtual on!

  • Rintarou

Really hoping to see this localized one day. Looks pretty fun, especially for a PSN title.

    • DanielGearSolid

Though I want it, im pretty sure theres no way in hell

      • Rintarou

I feel the same way, but at the same time it’s not like ArcSys is known for not releasing games in the West or anything, even if they are fighting games.

Would hit that download button in the moment this game touch US PSN. My Vita barren of mechs >.<

  • RichyGaming

A little of topic but it’d be cool if Makoto Nanaya from BlazBlue piloted Golden Tager X in this game.

  • Sergio Macellaro

Feels almost the classic Front Mission…Almost.
Seems have a ood mecha design but is a action game (the trailer indicates it).

Well Vita need GOOD games, then, bring it on!!
