More songs have been announced for Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd via this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. (Thanks, Zaregoto) The following songs are now confirmed to be in the game:

“2-Dimensional Dream Fever” by Polyphonic Branch

“Kokoro” by Toraboruta P

“Erase or Zero” by Crystal P

  • MasterScrub

    Kokoro is one of my absolute favorites despite the fact that it makes me crey everyteim ;n;

  • LM009

is it just me or they are really overdoing it with the old songs…I thought maybe something to a quarter of the slots could be dedicated to them but right now its like half-half -_-

    • Freakmasta

Easiest way to make money: reuse old assets.

      • natchu96

And they could claim “returning classics” as an excuse when questioned too!

Same old reused (and spammed) cashgrab plan. Use nostalgia as your flameshield and milk old stuff to death.

    • Kayseur

Well in a way… since they said once that the first Project Diva f cost them a lot and almost didn’t made enough profit, if saving up that much on new songs can help them making an awesome Extend (or 3rd or whatever) title afterward, I don’t mind it that much. But that’s just me being optimist. I, too, agree that there are way too many old songs.

    • tubers

I’m guessing it’s more of developing an export product for those who missed previous PJD games.

That’s on top of being cost of effective.

    • JMaster3000

But guys! What if we get the old songs + SAME AMOUNT OF NEW SONGS! That might be possible….. might….

    • rekka_zan

Well, they did say from the beginning that the theme of PDF2 is “connecting the past and the future”. I heard it’s going to have more than 40 songs, so even if half of those are old songs we still have plenty of new contents.

      • Ryo-kun

No it’s actually only 40 songs.

    • Ryo-kun

Add musunde hiraite rasetsu to mukuro to the list of old songs. That list is incomplete.

  • Aphrodi

    I read somewhere else that Musunde Hiraite Rasetsu to Mukuro also makes a comeback, good for them because that will be the only reason I will buy the game, also because it is one of my favorite Miku songs and I only like, say 10-12 Miku songs in all of the Project Diva games combined. Most of my favorite songs are too graphic(?) to be in PJD games, I think =_=;

    • 324234

Really? Doesn’t the Happiness and Peace of Mind Comittee song list a bunch of ways you’ll be killed? Granted it’s only a small part of the song but it’s pretty dark, and it made it.

      • Aphrodi

Hmm yeah, never noticed, too bad that I’m not a fan of that song. I have always liked songs with dark lyrics but I can also understand that many people don’t and that they don’t want too many dark songs in the games, but I don’t know how they choose the songs. I’m just happy that one of my favorites made it, I just hope some really nice Rin songs get in because I was really happy with Tokyo teddibear in F.

  • Yuzuki Yukari

While I do like Kokoro I kinda wish we had Meltdown instead… hopefully they will add it too. I’m still bummed that half the track list is just returning songs tho. Really hope that ‘Hello, Worker’ and ‘Leia’ get announced eventually since they were in the Magical Mirai concert just like Erase or Zero and 2D Dream Fever

    • Suki

I agree. After listening to Meltdown last year for the first time and then having the opportunity to actually play it the game, I would love to see it in this game along with Iroha Uta (Not sure if it was announced or not. I’m kind of following the songs but I may have missed some along the way). Those are by far my favorite Kagamine Rin songs.

  • GodLikesSnacks

First “Luka Luka Night Fever” and now “Double Lariat” announced? AWESOME!
In Project Diva F I didn’t liked Lukas solo songs, but this two are my favourites from her! Don’t care if these aren’t new songs, I am glad I pre-ordered the game! ^o^
Btw. so far it’s a very nice list, but if I could choose one more, my last wish would be the “Requiem for the Phantasma”from Miku. =P

    • Demeanor

I still think that Luka would deserve a far bigger spotlight than she usually gets >_> her voice is just so beautiful, she’s got a ton of good songs/untapped potential.
How would you guys feel if they decided to release smaller scope version of the Diva games centered around specific Vocaloids? Like a Luka game, or a Rin+Len game (mmm I wonder, would take make sense on the profit side…? I’d definitely get the Luka one, but I might skip the twins…)

  • FetusZero

I’ve said it on every posts, I think.. er at least almost.. but SEGA.. if you’re going to bring back that many old songs.. where’s my Sweet*Drops!?

..still wishing for Hateful Wonderland and Rotten Girl though (even though someone pointed out why they most likely wouldn’t make it, sorry, I forgot your name D; )

  • nathaniel

did they say anything about bringing this one to america or europe?

    • Neppygear

Not yet, but it’s entirely possible.

  • Okay, in the previous article I mentioned my joy for the return of old songs, but I can’t even deny now that it feels like a bit much. As long as there’s enough new content to support the price, then I’ll be satisfied.

There’s still hope guys!… for DLC!! We all love that, right?

(heck, no matter what I say, I’ll still buy it, I’m a sucker for these games :D)

  • Aesma

I assume they’ll put some of ‘Magical Mirai’ songs here? Since some titles I see being revealed are in the concert…

  • Neppygear

    Fuck yeah, Kokoro.

  • Iyyuchtus

“Kokoro” and “Ura Omote Lovers”. 2 of my favorites. Now if they can add “Chaining Intentions”….

  • Demeanor

And still no RIP=RELEASE. Why, Crypton, whyyy??? T_T

  • Demeanor

Okay guys, some new info, my source is the Project Diva french site: http://projectdiva.fr
    – it seems that Musunde Hiraite will be in
    – regarding the high number of old songs, Sega said that there will be 3 groups of tracks in the game: new pieces, old pieces with a facelift (think Cinderella) and old pieces with the PV completely redone; the last group includes so far: Cantarella, Kokoro and Miku Miku ni shite ageru (can’t wait to see this one).

  • Safros9

Hopefully Ai Kotoba will also make it in.

  • ooooooooo Kokoro <3
