Chibi-Robo Returns To North America Today

By Ishaan . January 9, 2014 . 9:30am

This week sees the release of Chibi-Robo: Photo Finder on the eShop for Nintendo 3DS. The game involves Chibi-Robo helping a new museum get off the ground.

In order to do that, you’re given silhouettes of objects the museum needs, and need to find real-life objects with the Nintendo 3DS camera that match their shapes.

Chibi-Robo: Photo Finder costs $9.99. You can learn more about it here. A demo for the game will be made available today as well.

Meanwhile, Europe is getting the KORG M01D synthesizer application this week for €24.99, along with Mario Bros. on the 3DS Virtual Console for €4.99/£4.49.

I want an HD version of the original Chibi Robo for Wii U.

Easily one of the most underrated games for the Gamecube, tons of exploration mixed in with fun little mini-games.

I’ve heard that it is similar to Moon: Remix RPG Adventure with its quirkiness (makes sense considering it’s by the same team), but I haven’t played Moon due to a lack of Japanese knowledge.

Chibi-Robo on GameCube is one of my all-time favorite games. I bought Park Patrol on launch day and I’m going to do the same with Photo Finder when I get home. And don’t even get me started on how angry I was when the third game didn’t make it to America (Photo Finder is the 4th C-R game, not counting the New Play Control rerelease of the original).

Looks cute, I have leftover Eshop munny, why not.

This game is way better than I thought it would be. At first I pinned it more as some cheap camera app but this demo is blowing my mind.
