This week GameFly slashed the price on five relatively popular Square Enix titles – up to 75% off instantly. As always, you can stack a coupon code on top of the instant savings to save even more pennies. Lots of pennies! (This month’s Gamefly coupon is at 25% versus the usual 20%).

Among the discounts is the recently released on Steam Final Fantasy VIII back just last month on December 5th, 2013. At this week’s $6 after coupon, its the new lowest ever price. Other titles of note includes Hitman: Contracts which finally made its debut in the Steam library, giving Hitman fans a chance to complete their collection.

This gives me a good reason to try out the final fantasy I’ve never played.

    I love sales.

Hope we get IX on Steam like this eventually.

    • Zeonsilt

Well,it’s almost the same as asking for FFX/FFXII/whatever.
FFVII & VIII was ported on PC decades ago, they just re-release them again.

      • http://andaryu3.wordpress.com/ Phantom Andaryu

IX was never released for PC? That’s a shame, it was the best one. Maybe there’s still hope of them “porting” it to Steam.

The game looks awful on steam, if you own the original and have a gaming pc i suggest you use an emulator as you can set the graphics to HD with custom shaders.

    …whatever.

Did they fix the BGMs for FF8? I’m not buying it until they get rid of that MIDI crap!

    • MrSirFeatherFang

Doesn’t seem like it, but there’s a guide on Steam that tells you how to replace the MIDI with the original music.

All these years later, I still don’t get the reason why Rinoa flashes her index finger any chance she gets.
