Bask In Love Heaven Ladies, Your Pretty Boys Be Here

By Eugene . February 4, 2014 . 4:29pm

Considering the bevy of puzzle RPG smartphone games that pander to the male interest with scantily-clad woman beating up monsters, it’s a surprise that it took us this long to find a title that caters to the female audience looking for their bishounen pretty boys.

Love Heaven is a smartphone puzzle game, but instead of capturing pretty ladies to fight for you, you have famous handsome men from around the world instead. Some of them include bare-chested Oda Nobunaga, Vincent Van Gogh with untidy hair, Shinsengumi captain Okita Soji and Napoleon Bonaparte.

The storyline sets you as a lady who’s transported to another world after touching a talking cat. Because why not have the cat be the catalyst in the entrance to love? You’re now tasked with saving this new world in order to return to Earth—although one wonders if any lady would wish to return if they’re stuck in such a land.

We’re not sure exactly how the puzzle mechanics work out, though from the looks of it, there’s a passing similarity to Puzzle & Dragons and Divine Gate

Love Heaven is currently slated to be released for both iOS and Android.

Quite the opposite with a twist…I would say.

  • Kumiko Akimoto

I thought it was visual novel -sadface-

  • Nickie

I wonder if anyone will localize this. Even though it’s mobile I want to play it. T^T

    • icup

    • Renaldi Saputra

nope, Japan rarely bring their smartphone game overseas, except Kemco and some other

    • Chim_era

We’ll just have to play it in Japanese, like we do kairosoft games after months of waiting :p

Maybe I need a crash course, all because of pure intentions of course ;)

    • Pinkemon

That’d be great, but I’m not getting my hopes up. From what I’ve seen Otome games don’t really seem to be that popular in the west, even in the fan translation community. (At least, not compared to visual novel/datey/fanservicey games aimed towards straight dudes.)

    • Firekitty

Deeply unlikely, but not impossible…I don’t know about iOS, but there IS a growing selection of Otome Android games in English, and even a couple of light BL games.

from the few I’ve downloaded, they tend to be micro-transaction happy, and the translations dry but serviceable (though no worse than the Kemco RPG I downloaded), but at least they’re trying!

  • Just Tim

Wait, is the “carnivore woman” phenomenon in Japan still going on?

    • Asaoko

Are you saying we aren’t allowed to enjoy what you men enjoy as well? No matter, that was really sexist of you.

      • Just Tim

The “carnivore woman” phenomenon in Japan amuses me every single bit, as I have no qualms against it and I observe how whatever trend that fades away in the West somehow gets carried over in Japan with a few exemptions; I am on record to say as long as this does not end in a false allegation which your western sisters do, I have no issues.

And speaking of sexism, are you advocating false allegations like what happened to a great-great relative of mine? He got LYNCHED for a false allegation! In addition to false allegations, your western sisters in real life have been saving face, financially destroying men via divorce courts, and even have been raising emotionally unstable boys, which leads to emotionally unstable men; I also add that your western sisters have gotten away unpunished for a false allegation.

Accusing me of being a “sexist” is essentially agreeing with the implication that “carnivore women should make false accusations, just to save face when she’s the one that initiated the situation.”

        If you want true equality:
–die fighting for a war like a man does
–pay an ex-husband at least 70 to 90% alimony, which is the very percentage rate that your western sisters demand in divorces they initiated
–learn how it is like to be falsely accused and punished for a heinous crime you never committed
–if a woman wants to be in a man’s realm, then she better expect to be treated like one!

And one more political note: to put it bluntly, the rest of the world has been used as “practice grounds” on what’s to come in the West, to the point Japan is this for population control and what the Philippines was for Martial Law.

Now, going back on topic, nice to know there’s a market for this game; if this got translated to English, then ads should be made on yaoi websites.

        • Asaoko

A remark on your *statement* and you get all defensive about the whole feminist movement. Tell me, though, how many times did you use your relative as a weapon? A ‘great-great’ one at that? Oh, and please don’t refer to them as ‘western sisters’. Western, Eastern, it makes no difference. Also, there are men who are feminist, too, so you’d do well to remember that.

I’m not going to bother reading them all either. You shame your gender, to be honest. It’s hard to even read it. I’m not even implying all men to be sexist, yet you imply all women are a greedy bunch. Stop attacking the strawman, buddy.

          • Just Tim

More recently and still ongoing, kids have been used as weapons and leverages, a fact that has been largely ignored. Yet, you purposely ignore the historical fact that innocent men got LYNCHED pre-Civil Rights era USA, even before World War II.

Yes, an overwhelming majority of feminists are usually single white females; after all, feminism as we know it started in the West. Sadly, men that support the current militant feminism I personally experienced are suppressing their own manhood.

Newsflash, Asaoko: non-English women in the feminist movement are that movement’s equivalent of Johnny come lately.

I don’t shame my gender; my own female relatives made me feel ashamed of being a male, and on top of that, not growing up with a father figure in my entire life. How about you? Did you grow up with both parents intact?

And finally, statistics never lie. What I have been saying is still ongoing since the 1960s. In the West alone, women automatically win divorce cases they instigated, with the alimony pay day of 70-90% of their ex-husbands’ earnings.

Okay, going back on topic, I wonder if there’s a western market for this game, especially when most of the pretty boy fangirls I know of in real life are into yaoi.

          • Asaoko

Well now, I did not specifically say anything about ignoring men’s right, now did I? Please, do stop victimizing yourself. Women and men, all gets their equal share of injustice. Just because you’re a victim of one doesn’t make your case all the more important.

In your other comment, you expressed your specific distaste for western women. You treated me like one, which is weird, because I’m from Asia. But like I said, Eastern, Western, it makes no difference, but you were quite specific. Hm.

Ah, to answer your question: No, my parents divorced. But do I go crying about how unfair it is? How I absolutely must need a father figure in my life? No. Because that’s a silly point of view. Father, mother, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that there is someone to love you, as shallow as it may sound. Just because you have a ‘father’ does not automatically make your life alright. If you think like that, then seriously: stop victimizing yourself. It’s pathetic. Dude. Stop.

          • M’iau M’iaut

Off topic. Please move on. Thanks.

        • Wow… Just wow…

Edit: Looking at your past comments I now see where you are coming from on this. You seem to have a distinct disdain towards western women.

          • Just Tim

Just to be specific, only western women of Angle stock; I am already on record multiple times how Victorianism is one of the biggest wrongs England unleashed upon the world.

    • Göran Isacson

How exactly is this related to “carnivore women”? Isn’t it just another bishonen dating sim? There’s been plenty of those in the past, haven’t there?

  • Lazulis

I’d play it if it came over here. But it never will.

  • Oh hey, it’s Seija Kijin’s brother.

  • Panders to males. Caters to females. Okay.

    • Touma

didn’t notice that. not sure if intentional on eugenes end but it is rather annoying :/.

    • Firekitty

To be fair…female-aimed fanservice tends to be a lot less pander-y than male? Less T&A and more declarations of eternal devotion.

  • Yan Zhao

I totally thought the dude with the two-tone black and red hair was a chick from the thumbnail which made me click this article, LOL!

  • harmonyworld

    Mobil gaaaaaames! *angryface*

  • Shady Shariest

    Good overall design for characters…
Now if those people started making games for us dedicated gamers…

  • celery

This actually looks cool! I don’t care that this is for mobile, I would love to play this!

  • CirnoLakes
  • Vash bane

o_O one of them look like lelouch and jecht

  • DyLaN

Will play if its translated just for the art. Say, does any1 knows who the artist for this?

  • Göran Isacson

HISTORICAL ACCURACY MARCHES ON: The Meme- now for women as well as men.

At least in the case of Vincent van Gogh and Oda Nobunaga, who never really looked like that. Napoleon Bonaparte though? Dude was major pretty boy material in his youth, and had long, wavy brown hair.

  • Clairis Cannon

I wanna play this……although, I also want more otome games in English too

  • Hinataharem

    Aww, moe Van Gogh

  • Aww the chibi versions are so cute. I want it!

  • I’d like to have dating sim aimed at girls for once :| Hakuoki was alright, but…I dunno, I want something different that doesn’t take place in feudal Japan.

  • Keitaro004

Shouldn’t be long now until “Free! The Game” comes out in stores…
