1 year and change isn’t a lot of time. I wonder how fast the rest of the game development will be, going forward.

    • icecoffemix

Umm, those are clearly not the whole thing that has been finished, just the one they want to show.

    • Yuuki

and they had to write an whole new engine for it

      • icecoffemix

Wut? They’re using UE3, smart move.

        • Yuuki

didnt get that detail, but good to know

  • http://gentlerobot.com/ Gentle Robot

They got $3,000,000 to make Mega Man 11?

    • http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/25050-farm-mapping-contest/#entry239430 Chaos17

      Blame Capcom.

    • icecoffemix

Yes they should have created a fighting game with fat mighty no.9 instead.

      *rolleyes*

      • RichyGaming

        I’d play it.

    • César H. Sandoval

Nope, they got 4M to make a new game series based on Megaman’s core concept, MM11 would be another 8bit demake.

      • http://gentlerobot.com/ Gentle Robot

        Sorry Mega Man X9 HD

        • César H. Sandoval

If this was X9, I would have backed it with double the money!

    • Enzo

You do realize that only 900k is what they demanded for the game, and all that extra money goes into the stretch goals (like making the online multiplayer, other modes, and the fact that it will pretty much be available for ALL the platforms). Also, it actually costs more than $4m to do what they are doing. They just needed the money to help take some of the financial load off their backs. AND I think you have no idea what Mega Man is like if you think this game is what a Mega Man 11 is like (e.g. absorbing regular enemies’ powers NOT in Mega Man games).

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Leafy_Cam Leafhopper

You do know what a stretch goal is right?

  • http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/25050-farm-mapping-contest/#entry239430 Chaos17

Did I just see the concept art of the Kickstarter in the game ?! Impressive :)

  • AlteisenX

You can never hate Inafune. I’m extremely hyped for a Vita version.

    • icecoffemix

It’s long overdue for great looking megaman session on bed. Can’t wait!

    • TheFoolArcana

Yeah, its not like he was responsible for closing Clover Studio or anything. Nope.

      • icecoffemix

Yes, he must be doing it out of spite and clearly the only factor responsible. /s

    • TheGioG

This man rocks, ain’t no doubt about that. I’d gladly pay top dollar for this game in a heartbeat come 2015.

    • Kid Kuma

I’m wishing on every star that this offers cross buy on psn

    • Ric Vazquez

      Same here

  • Go2hell66

Now its starting to look like a megaman game

  • TheExile285

Didn’t show much but I REALLY like what I saw. ^_^

    • JuhRo

      I hear that.

  • Hector Velar

It’s ALIVEEEE!!! Inafune while you are at it keep it on PC as well. :D

    • TheExile285

      There’s already a PC version :V

      • Hector Velar

he was playing it on PC

    • Zeik56

The PC was originally the only place it was going to be, before the kickstarter did so well.

      • Hector Velar

yeah missleading header, at top it reads ps3/vita. but heck I get it for PC if I could over vita or ps3 that way I can mod and put 8bit megaman in it ;)

  • Nanaki

This reminded me of Network Transmission for the Gamecube. I loved that game and I know I’m going to really enjoy this one just as much.

  • DesmaX

Oh, I didn’t know there was going to be dashing in this one.

Well, I’m way more interessed in this now. Dashing is one thing that makes me like the X series more

    • Lucky Dan

It’s Looking more like the Zero series than the year old Megaman Games.

  • http://s932.photobucket.com/ usagi_san

Glad to see that the Beckers are seeing their investment being put to good use. Looking good so far.

Can’t wait to do my bit and purchase as many versions as possible.

  • BlueTree

Oh my god he dashes, thank you based X god.

  • Shiki

Unlike X though, Mighty No. 9 can air dash. X’s dash then jump has trajectory but this is like…Hard Corps Uprising. Straight air dash.

    • ArmoredBoar

…X does have an airdash with leg upgrades since MMX2.

  • Shadowman

    Perfect!

  • eilegz

it should be horrible to play this on a 360 control pad =/

  • Musashi234

From the moment the game play started to when Inafune Said ” Im extremely Satisfied” My Smile will not leave my face! OH MAN I CANT WAIT FOR THE FINAL PRODUCT!!!

  • colorblindnightmare

BY THE HAMMER OF THOR. That looked awesome. So fluid and the models even this early on are looking great!

  • ShadowDivz

Like most people im mainly getting this to say **** you to capcom. xD

Just kidding, the game looks nice.

  • http://playstationallstars.wikia.com/wiki/PlayStation_All-Stars_Wiki Sackchief

Its looking good so far. Man, I am so psyched for this game.

  • Heropon

Game look great and I hope we will have a spiritual successor of BattleNet/Starforce after this

  • KingxKing

ehmm… peoples are seriously impressed by this?

    • 하세요

I’m assuming peeps are just happy to see their money go to work, rather than hearing/reading tweets saying “Progress!”

  • Tenabrus

    dat button clicking sound…

  • Kroz

Inafune saying “I’m extremely satisfied” is decent enough of a review to get me hyped

  • ishyg

Damn it, I should have backed this. T_T

  • Chee Yang

Capcom must be regretting with all the Megaman cancellation…bad boxart in SfxT could have been a good part of marketing if only Capcom followed through.

  • ajneez

Itagaki must be a very great person

  • Spirit Macardi

Now that’s interesting, stunning enemies and then absorbing them. Nice to see that even though it’s a Mega Man game at its core, there’s still some new mechanics to give the game its own identity.

A little disappointed that even though it’s 2.5D it still only shows things from a side-view (I miss the Kirby 64/Klonoa method where the environment would twist and turn even though you moved on a 2D plane), but it does still look nice and it’s not even a finished level.

  • Yan Zhao

And to think they still have a whole year to perfect this. For what little time they worked on this, its pretty impressive.

  • Kid Kuma

This is one of my most anticipated games.
Along side Dark Souls 2, if PSO2 ever hits the states, Destiny, and persona 5.

  • Erwin MadJelly

From what I see so far, looks like he used Mechanics of MegaMan X6, which is one of my favs on PS1, AWESOME!!

    • Saifer Emmerich

I just remembered the cutscene after beating the Zero Nightmare.

  • LustEnvy

ALL OF MY MOTHER EFFIN’ WANT.

  • Jerry Hu

I am glad I backed it.

  • Saifer Emmerich

    1. The game is worked on by one of the pioneers of gaming history.
    2. The project is open to feedback and doesn’t follow the stupid “behind closed doors trend” that most games abide by.
    3. It is a mix of 90s nostalgia (my favorite kind) and new ideas that broaden several aspects in 2D action gaming (a genre that has been overlooked for too long.)
    4. If this succeeds (fingers crossed), it will motivate the small time developer to seek Kickstarter as an alternative option to the tyranny of the Giant Publisher.

    5. It’s Keiji Inafune GODAMMIT!! EVER HEARD OF ONIMUSHA????

  • http://youfan.wordpress.com Youfan

I don’t know why, but I smile watching this. D-mn Inafune is a truly legend.
