Hell’s #1 House Is A Full Scale Project From Galapagos RPG

Compile Heart recently shared a brief look at their latest work in a PlayStation Vita RPG titled Hell’s #1 House. The game will be about a group of creative geniuses who’ll be going into action to make their house the number one in Hell. This week’s Famitsu magazine shares a little more.

Last year, Compile Heart started a new label called Galapagos RPG, with a mission to develop RPGs specifically for Japanese customers, and Famitsu reports that the creators of the label will be working on a full-scale fashion for the development of Hell’s #1 House, as they feel that the game can only be made by those creators, such as Disgaea 4 director Masahiro Yamamoto and Hyperdimension Neptunia producer Norihisa Kochiwa.

The origin of the game’s title also derives from the idea of gathering individual creators to a house in Hell. The game’s protagonist is said to have some pretty crazy stuff going on, such as nails stuck on his body, bandages, and a tail and horn to complete his devilish looks.

Meanwhile, the heroine its in a skull-shaped throne with long black hair, and dresses in knee-high socks. She also holds a book of sorcery, which is said to play a key role in the game’s story.

Hell’s #1 House is currently in development and is expected to be released sometime this year for PlayStation Vita.

As long as this isn’t SRPG then I will be okay…

The srpg throne themed comedy hell and demon is already taken by Disgaea….

  • TheExile285

    This same game right?

Hmm, I hope they show some screens or a trailer soon.

    • AnotherVistor02

Yeah I think it is this picture (was actually looking for it)

I think I can see the explained heroine with long hair and knee socks on the first left from the center.

    • AkiraScare

That twin wail (*_*) looks cute already….

What am i saying they all look KUTE!!!!

  • CRUSHING

“a mission to develop RPGs specifically for Japanese customers” When has that ever not been the mission of JRPG developers? Did I miss something somewhere?

    • TheExile285

      FFXIII sub series

    • bVork

Yeah, I don’t understand this label either. Especially when it comes to this developer. If Compile Heart’s prior output was actually designed for worldwide audiences, then it sure didn’t show.

    • ThatGuy3190_7

This statement kinda strikes me as a company who is reluctant to localization, or no localization at all.

      • DyLaN

Except that CH is usually good at trying to get their games localized.

    • Sato

It’s because of the recent increase in Japanese developers leaning towards making games that can please fans in the west. Basically their way of saying “here, we’re not like the other guys.”

  • Go2hell66

Who can say no to dark black hair and knee high socks

    • AnotherVistor02

People who likes blonde hair and ankle socks
Don’t worry I’m with you on this subject

      • Kai2591

        *hi-five!*

  • Kornelious

Eh…Still stuck to Fairy fencer F…..which should be announced tommorow hopefully :)

  • Warboss Aohd

As Opposed to JRPGs made for Western Audiences?

the only ones i can think of that were made specifically for Western Audiences, were JRPGs MADE in the West (Shadow Madness, Silver, Gorky17/Odium)

  • God

I think it means they are gonna go all out with crap that will make the game unlocalisable, they are probably gonna put in this game every “Taboo”, there was, is, or ever will be.

    • Shippoyasha

If they do, then good. Let Japanese devs make games they are comfortable with and find to be fun.

      • God

The problem – People who don’t know japanese will never be able to play a game so awesome…

  • Prinny Dood

Has anyone ever notice when they announce a game its for japan, and when they announce a games for the us its indies. Not complaining but what are the american developers doing? Or do we have developers? Oh well guess I’ll just have to wait for an localization announcement

    • DyLaN

Eh, this site is mostly for Japanese games. There are other news site that covers western games.

      • Prinny Dood

Really tell me please and thanx in advance

        • DyLaN

Uh… I don’t really use those western game news site so I wouldn’t be much help, but try IGN/Dual Shockers.

  • AnotherVistor02

    Nippon Ichi?
    Compile Heart?
    Team from Disgaea and HDN?

  • klkAlexar

Got this game confused with Yandere Hell for a Sec.

  • Sentsuizan_93

Oooh. I like where this may be going…

Everyone wishing for a localization, take your grain of salt… Now.

  • Arcana Drill

Yep, it really makes me remembers disgaea cause of the designs. But with disgaea 4 director it should be something obvious XD.

Interested in what they are making.
