Every Trap Builder Has To Start Someplace In Deception IV: Blood Ties

By Eugene . February 19, 2014 . 3:01pm

Sure, we’ve been cackling gleefully at the pain and suffering inflicted on foes in the last few batches of Deception IV: Blood Ties’ brilliant videos. But sooner or later you’ll have to step into the field for yourself.

To that end Kaelia has stepped forward to instruct us (Gently! Oh so gently. It could be worse) in how to set up and trigger those traps we’ll soon be chaining into the most horrific mutilations of the body ever. But first, I suppose we’ll need to pass the Basic Theory test, so study up!

Deception IV: Blood Ties will be available on March 25th in North America and March 28th in Europe for PlayStation 3 and Vita.

Actually Vita version looks really good, hope native res with 4x AA like most Tecmo-Koei games.

  • 1 more month ^_^

  • Shippoyasha

I’d rather play this than the new mobile Dungeon Keeper.

  • nonscpo

I’m not sure if this is my type of game or not but the trailer keeps showing such a unique and interesting game that I’m actually tempted to try it. Does anyone know if there’s a demo coming up for this game?

    • Kayseur

I don’t think there’s one, there was none for the japanese version (being released this or next week in Japan) so there most likely won’t be one for the NA / EU release.
But once it’s released in Japan, I think watching gameplay videos will be enough to have a good idea of the game.

I’m really eager to play this game, I just hope there are enough traps to make it fun in the long run.
March is going to be good for my Vita.

I remember playing the heck out of this series since PS1 glorious days! I am very pleased to see a sequel coming soon (and to VITA at that!).

So wait, this game is real time? I had thought you would have time to think and properly place traps per turn, but if the enemy is gonna maul right away, it seems like you could possibly act too late in your strategy..?

  • Ni ~Algidus~

aren’t you guys happy that we can build our own traps?
sorry i needed to say it

Now the US just needs the limited edition. I really want the artbook and soundtrack for this game. But…it’s probably not going to happen. Like Toukiden.

  • lordsofskulls

hmmm PS3 or PS Vita :( cant decide…

  • Loli Summoner

This game looks fun..but I feel….Idk. I’ll feel bad playing this, I’ll pass on this game :T Not into torturing.

So your heart’s telling you it might be fun, but your head’s telling you to pass? I say, go with the heart.

      • Loli Summoner

        Haha XD maybe~

  • Wait. It’s for the Vita? All this time I thought it was for the PS3. XD

    • TrueDefault

It says right in the article that it’s coming to both PS3 and Vita.

      • So it does, so it does. It just goes to show you that a morning cup of java is important for basic reading comprehension. I think I’ll go grab myself a cup now. ^_^()
