Kamen Rider: Battride War was a PlayStation 3 exclusive that featured various Riders from the TV series, and the sequel, Battride War 2, is being developed for both PS3 and Wii U. The new game will have movie versions of the Riders in Kamen Rider: Battride War 2, and here’s a first trailer for it:

The teaser trailer starts out with a scene showing Kamen Rider W, Fourze, and many others being confronted by what appears to be a giant foe. We also get to see the powerful Kamen Rider Eternal split a windmill in half!

At around the 1:20 mark of the trailer, we get a glimpse of some of the powered-up Riders in action for the upcoming game.

Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 will be released on June 26, 2014 for PlayStation 3 and Wii U.

Man Siliconera, gotta fix that tagging system

  • anthony apduhan

Kamen is japanese for Mask and there’s Saban adaptation of Masked Rider that should never ever be mentioned…

    • Hindolo Sennessie

funny thing is that i got into kamen rider back as a kid because when i got older i looked up masked rider and found out that it was kamen rider and it continued from there.

  • Pyrofrost

Got the TV and Movie sound edition preordered at Amiami, and I can’t wait.

Pro-tip, you get it from Amiami and you save about $30 USD

  • Just Tim

Is the lineup exclusively Heisei Era Kamen Riders?

    • Pyrofrost

      Right now, yes.

  • Spirit Macardi

I don’t even watch Kamen Rider, and yet I want to play this because it looks awesome!

This proves that Namco can make good Wii U games… And yet all they’ve given us in the west are a crappy port of an arcade game, and another failed attempt at making their mascot seem relevant…

    • British_Otaku

Crappy port of an arcade game? Tank ! Tank! Tank! Right?
Another failed attempt at making their mascot seem relevant? Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures.

How about Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition? I wouldn’t say it is my favourite port on the system, as the option to choose your own music is missing from the other console versions and switching screens, the first controller and where the sound comes out of is a chore at best and annoying at worst like I can’t navigate menus through touching, you can’t see the character select or fighting (though you can see cutscenes and replays) on the GamePad without changing the priorities and needing to trace back to the main menu or restart to change some things. Otherwise, Tekken Ball is back (and unfortunately exclusive for no real reason), Mushroom Battle is pretty amusing every once in a while, we can dress characters like iconic Nintendo heroes and villains with additional attacks and we can draw directly on the GamePad to give Law scars like some Bruce Lee movie (what my bro did) or tattoos or other things on top of the generally impressive options.

Namco Bandai haven’t been much of a helping hand, their work on Tekken and help with Smash Bros 4 aside, but they aren’t “that” bad, at least considering that most folks are around the same level or worse and Namco live and breath on licensed games and won’t even give the Vita a shot but they gave the Wii U an Adventure Time game.

I know nothing of what the Tekken game is like, since my interest in that series is at zero.

Honestly, my anger at Namco is because I KNOW they can do better, yet they continue to let me down at every turn. They aren’t completely without hope like Capcom or Konami, but they’re also in charge of my most beloved franchises so I have far more of a personal stake in them.

  • wahyudil

for Wii U? for Wii U? …. but its region locked … damn! and there will be no localization ever

    • British_Otaku

It is also on the PS3, I suppose it is more than possible to just have a Wii U and not a PS3 now but if you really want to play this, you could wait a bit for the PS3 to drop in price more as well as this game.

You can start panicking when the Wii U picks up steam when the PS3 starts dying in Japan, then you can expect tons of low budget games to be exclusive to that system if they remember that they develop console games as well as a smartphone and portable ones.

Its a shame Kamen Rider never really caught on in the west. I enjoy the shows a lot. There are times when the Kamen Rider series eclipses the Super Sentai series. Looking forward to importing this like the first title. Also looking forward to the movie; Heisei Riders vs. Shōwa Riders: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai. It’s going to be a blast.

  • BTA

It’s not a windmill, it’s Futo Tower (a fairly important landmark in W).

Anyway, already got the premium edition pre-ordered at AmiAmi; the first one was great (though, uh, I still need to finish it) and this should be even better. I just hope there’s multiplayer this time!

COME ON! Banana Arms! ♪Knight of Spear~♪

O_O gold extreme and movie OOO … I like where this is going

  • Zsaberslash

The big foe you mention is King Dark. He’s from Kamen Rider X.

  • Ryuuken

Yea, this game is based on the movies, and it looks like it could be better than the first, with actual cut scenes (it looks like). Though the one I played of the original had a lot of hiccups and pausing when using special mode, and what not. Maybe this game does better?
