Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, the updated version of Ragnarok Odyssey, is headed to the PlayStation 3 and Vita on April 1st in North America, Xseed announced this morning.

The PS3 version of the game will be available at “participating retailers” and through the PlayStation Store, Xseed said, and will cost $39.99. Meanwhile, all launch units of the Vita version at retailers will come with a bonus soundtrack CD containing 25 tracks.

The Vita version of the game will cost $39.99 as well, although if you download it off the PlayStation Store, it’ll cost $34.99.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace includes new content over the original game, such as the Tower of Yggdrassil, a dungeon that changes each time players enter it. Additionally, the game will now include an “ACE Skill” system that enables them to unlock new moves. Also on the list of features is the ability to hire AI mercenaries, of which there are a dozen to choose from. You can pick two to fight alongside you. Finally, Ace will also include new enemies, items and bosses.

If you own Ragnarok Odyssey already, you’ll be able to transfer your character’s name, face and job class (but not clothing) to the new game, as well as weapon cards and monster cards. Additionally, DLC acquired for the original game can be re-download into Ace for free.
