J-Stars Victory Vs. Shows Manly Fighters Toriko And Jonathan Joestar

By Sato . March 7, 2014 . 12:10am

We previously got a look at some of the humorous characters of J-Stars Victory Vs. in Bo-bobo and Luckyman. In their latest update of videos, we get to see powerhouse fighters in Toriko, and Jonathan Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure along with a few other rivals.

Toriko from Toriko

Toriko, one of the “Four Heavenly Kings” shows off plenty of power with his Flying Fork and Leg Knife attacks for some strong close-ranged combat. He can eat meat in the middle of combat to recover his health. He is also speedier than he appears!

Medaka Kurokami from Medaka Box

Medaka is all about speedy attacks and graceful recovery maneuvers. She can pull off her attacks quicker than most and she excels at attacking from all ranges. The downside is her health depletes faster than others, so she’ll be an all-or-nothing type character. She’ll also have abilities that depletes her opponent’s stamina.

Jonathan Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure

Jonathan is all about his overdrive melee attacks, which he’ll be using to rush down his rivals. He excels at mid-ranged attacks that require you to button mash as fast as he’ll be pulling off his machinegun-like punches. He’ll also be doing different poses to give himself advantages.

Taro Yamada from Chinyuki Taro to Yukaina Nakama Tachi

The hard-headed Taro Yamada will have a bunch of tricky attacks, but most of them will come from dashes using his hard head. He’ll also get help from Baba to help out with trap attacks. Most of his moves will have a gag-manga style to it, but if you don’t take him seriously, you could end up falling on your face before you know it.

Meisuke “Nube” Nueno from Jigoku Sensei Nube

Nube will have excellent defensive maneuvers to go with enemy lockdown moves. He’ll have some skills that disables enemies and keeps them in place, which will definitely come in handy to have as a partner in team battles. He’ll be using his Demon’s Hand to do some close-ranged attacks, but his specialty will lie in his defensive abilities.

  • Namuro

To see Nube in an over-the-top fighting game like this… My childhood dream has been answered… *sob*

    Also, his BGM rocks!

    • TrueDefault

I really thought he has been forgotten!!

    • Gattai

Correct me if I’m wrong but Nube should have a full demon form right?

      • Namuro

Well, yes. When he’s fully consumed by Baki.

        • Gattai

Damn I just wished he could transform into his full demon form would have been cool! XD

    • MaskedHero99

Whls nube …who are you talking about ..im curious

      • Jiayon Thorpe

the guy with the demonic hand

  • Aisha Lee

Like what I see with Medaka, sucks that her health depletes faster then anothers but this wouldn’t be the first time a female character has low health in a fighting game. Now if by some small chance I could get a certain green-haired, eye-patch wearing girl. My dream team will be complete.

    • MSJ

I’d love to see Kiruko in this game as well…

      • Jiayon Thorpe

to bad the series was cancelled

  • Rayhan PromisedGallery

Nube, you can’t exorcise a tentacle alien because he’s a sensei?

  • Loving the title of the article, cause it’s true :)

    • J_Joestar

  • Minos

Looks like Medaka only has her basic abilities.

I suppose it makes sense for balancing porpuces, she could crush all the other characters at the same time if she was on full power.

    • NintendoPSXTheSecond

I was thinking the same thing, the way she was written was to be an ultimate God basically. But they have to nerf God to the mortal realm lol.

      • J_Joestar

Anshin’in-san was more of a godly entity.

    • J_Joestar

If anything, she should be able to copy other characters abilities, though that would probably be too annoying to program in.

    • Shiroishi Hajime

Yeah but she was a glass cannon, and Medaka box was full of tell and no show, she had a bunch of listed abilities but never showed a lot of them. I digress, it should be well know that in video games the character’s source material does not matter in terms of power. In a crossover anybody can beat anybody, buuut, if we are being technical nobody in this game can beat Bobobo.

      • Aisha Lee

The thing about Medaka is that she actually could take hits from her rivals. What really makes her glass cannon is that when ever she used her full power, she would go over the top and have her body go through so much strain that it actually cause her damage (like the fight with Uzen).

        • Shiroishi Hajime

Yeah, that’s what I meant, and also there is a limit to her copying, she is not as overpowered as a lot of people think.

    • dizzyb230 .

      Seriously doubt that.

  • fairysun

    Woo Nube!!

I want to see Nube’s funny moments. Hopefully they will include it in this game, especially the one that showing him courting that sexy teacher(Ritsuko Sensei) but always end up bad(usually ghost is involve).

    • leingod

I’d love that too, but apparently his role in the game will be kinda minor since he’s the only entry from his series.

      • You’re forgetting that the game will have loads and loads of NPCs for the story sessions.

        • leingod

          Well, yeah.

  • DivinePhoenix69

Toriko is looking really strong here. The fact that he can dash cancel some of his moves is pretty sick, and it seems like he has alot of combo potential because of it.

Medaka is looking pretty awesome as well, she seems like she’ll be the glass cannon of this game.

  • [S]unjay

I want to see Tsuna in action, they’ve been keep Tsuna behind the curtains and the wait is killing me…..
