Titanfall On Xbox 360 Delayed To April

By Ishaan . March 19, 2014 . 10:28am

The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall has been delayed to April, Electronic Arts announced this morning. The game will be available on April 8th in the U.S. and April 11th in Europe.

Originally, Titanfall on Xbox 360 was meant to be launched alongside the PC and Xbox One versions of the game last week, but was delayed to March 28th. This second delay pushes it back by another two weeks.

“I want to update everyone on Titanfall for Xbox 360 in development with Bluepoint Games,” EA’s Patrick Soderlund said. “I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic. But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players.”

“Titanfall for Xbox 360 will now be releasing on April 8 in North America, and beginning on April 11 in Europe. The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.”

Does the Xbox One version have anything that won’t be in the 360 Titanfall or will they be indistinguishable from each other?

I’d imagine the Xbox One version will just be prettier as it’s next gen.

It would be kid of funny if it wasn’t, but I’d like to see them side by side.

If it’s anything like MGSV than it’s not going to look a whole lot different. I’d honestly go as far as to say Titanfall on the Xbone isn’t impressive visually from my experiences of playing on my friends Xbone. That’s just me though.

yeah that pretty much sums it up, plus blue point have a lot of experience in porting games. it really shouldn’t worry people, but i can understand how one can be nerve wrecking just waiting for your most anticipating game. :)

It isn’t visually impressive. I have the PC version and even on high detail the visuals are nothing to scream about. The game was originally built with last generation hardware in mind and runs on the Source engine in part for that reason(they chose the Source engine for familiarity and because it runs consistently at 60 fps on such hardware).

Prettier and can Snap, I guess.

I’d expect better performance on the X1 too.

They are REALLY trying to push the Xbox One huh?

    • Godmars

The 360 version is a general performance downgrade from the XB1. That and given the habit to “release and patch later” There’s likely just more work to do with it.

I lul’d pretty hard as soon as I read the headline…

      Pretty much…

    • MikelAL93

I guess so, even though the game didn’t even live up to the hype at all…

My immediate thought as well. Doesn’t say much for MS’s trustworthyness. :(
