Trails in the Flash II Shares More On Its Newly Playable Characters

Falcom previously revealed details on the setting, gameplay and characters of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash II. In a new update, they share the latest on the two newly playable characters Tovar and Clair, and also give us a peek at Rean’s hometown that will be in the game, via 4Gamer.

[Note: the character info contains spoilers from the first game.]

Tovar Randonneur:

Tovar is a partisan of the empire’s branch of a private organization called Bracer Guild, that is found throughout the entire continent. This organization handles various things from solving problems to undertaking investigations.

Due to his activities as a partisan being limited within the empire, he works with the likes of his former co-worker, Sara, and others, to reform the guild.

While Tovar knows how to handle himself in combat, he’s known for specializing in customized Tactical Orbments that allows for speedy Arts casting. He met Rean and the others during training in the The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash, but this time, he’ll be meeting them in an unexpected way, and will help Rean on his lonesome journey.

Claire Rieveldt:

Claire is a female captain, known for being the best in the empire’s army. Thanks to her pretty appearance and ability to give out speedy commands to the troops throughout the country-wide railway network, she’s been given the nickname “Ice Maiden”.

In The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash, she was a member of the “Iron Breed,” a group that was directly commanded by the prime minister Osbourne; however, he was assaulted and killed by a terrorist, which Claire barely failed to prevent.

Like Tovar, Claire met Rean and the others in the first game when she exchanged some information with the crew. In Trails in the Flash 2, she will be apart from her original group, and will be dressed in regular clothes as part of a covert mission.

The above is a shot of Ymil, the hot springs village located in the northern mountainous area of the Erebonian Empire, governed by the baron Schwarzer. This village is also the hometown of the protagonist Rean.

It is said that the springs have some sort of healing effect for all sorts of diseases.Ymil even has a splendid lodging facility that was provided by the emperor himself. There’s a cable car that connects the village to the station, but during the winter, it’s closed due to the heavy snowfall. It looks like Rean will be returning back to his hometown of Ymil in the midst of a snowy season.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Flash II will be released in 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
