See Natural Doctrine Before NIS America Brings It To The West

By Spencer . April 3, 2014 . 11:57am

NIS America will publish Natural Doctrine from Kadokawa Games in North America and Europe. The game fits right into NIS America’s lineup being a strategy RPG, but instead of a grid you guide characters on a 3D field.

Some units have guns and if you aim carefully you can snipe enemies. Alternatively, you can blow up walls and close in on your foes. Similar to Disgaea, Natural Doctrine has an intricate ally combo and counter system.

Natural Doctrine is out in Japan for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation 4 now. NIS America plans to release the English this fall.

o.o i am happy to know this game is coming to USA and happy to be a GAMER ;3

  • Ni ~Algidus~

hm…I can already see the amount of backslash this game is going to get here.
I’m curious to know if the game overs will be count in th end of the stage/chapter. if they do count i’ll be reloading alot.

  • chroma816

The art is fantastic, but I hope the game itself is good.

  • Andrew Arndt

my ps4 and vita and ps3 are all so ready for this,

  • Definitely getting a fire emblem x valkyria chronicles vibe. And that’s a good thing.

  • This one sounds vaguely familiar I need to look more into this game.

  • persona_yuji

Ah, so we’ll finally be able to play as… Jeff… I’m sorry but I just can’t get past on how simple and plain his name is compared to the rest of the cast. xD

    • xavier axol

I know, you can’t help but to laugh. he is the only character with the most simplest name in comparison to the other characters in the game.

      • Kornelious

At least it’s not something ridiculously stupid, Like lets say for example just off of the tip of my hea- EDGE FREAKING MAVERICK >:(

        • Gael Summers

Edge may be a weenie, but his name is pretty rad

          • Kai2591

            haha right on.

        • Sesshomaru

Edgie was great. His name was sooooo….hero sounding. Edgie!

          • darke

I’m just glad 99% of the characters referred to him as ‘Edge’ or some variation thereof. That’s not too bad a name, as far as names go, it’s the ‘Maverick’ part that’s particularly… facepalming. >.<

      • Jadfish

Imagine how frustrated the other characters would get being referred to as “those guys who hang out with Jeff” because their names are too outlandish

  • klkAlexar

This game doesn’t have a good rating in Amazon, something about the gameplay being drawn out and unrefined.

    • MrTyrant

Deep down I knew it was going to be something like. When I saw the videos it didn’t look that good to me and it wasn’t the graphic.

      How is the story?

    • Juan Manuel M. Suárez

I wouldn’t trust Amazon reviews / Youtube videos. Really, people need to play games to make true judgements~.

      • revenent hell

I like you for your common sense.
My faith in humanity has increased +5 do to your wise words my good fellow

  • meiam

How grinddy is it, I know it’s not (edit) made by NiS, but everything they touch is sooooo grinddy, it scare me.

    • revenent hell

Not “everything” is ubber grindy but most has a considerable amount.
Their Neptunia games, I actually found most of the games not “grind” worthy to be honest and had no problem going from start to finish with barely if any grinding at all.
I also think its how used to grinding people are…. I have played games where I had to grind for days… Not a measly few hours but days to be able to advance so I kind of call anything under three hours a win myself…… But I play a lot of grindy games..

Actually this kind of looks to me like it might not require an excessive amount but then again basing something on looks can be a fault I think……

  • revenent hell

Ok so…. when I started watching this my brain clicked to “Star Ocean Till the End of Time”.
Apparently the graphics and such remind me of that game, not much else mind you but that’s what I thought.

  • Cephrien

    — this really doesn’t look very good.

  • れいか

I’ve seen a couple of people being excited for this… I still can’t bring myself to like this… So far, I do not like how clunky the game is… maybe there’s salvation for the story?

  • Kornelious

Still suprised their localizing this, I hope NISA can make the expectations of localizing the PS4’s first SJRPG, But I believe in them! :D

  • benhofb

So it plays kind of like Valkyria Chronicles? It looks like it from the videos at least… I’ve never played any games in that series, so I don’t know how I’ll feel about the battle system, but this sure does look interesting!

  • I pre-ordered the PS4 version yesterday

  • awat

Gotta love SRPG’s this one looks terrific can’t wait for its release =) (the music in the 4th minute sounds abit like TalesOfLegendia’s)

  • Kai2591

XCOM and Valkyria Chronicles had a baby….
I just hope the story’s good and the characters are likeable.
and that the battle system won’t be too hard for me to handle.

  • Learii

    this look hard

  • miguel flores

Apparently the name changed to “NAtURAL DOC t URINE” on the Japanese PS LOL

  • Vash bane

I forgot about this game lol. glad to see more gameplay of it but sadly it dosnt look right for me I mean. all those circles and lines with different colors confuse to me to a degree lol. is it me or is this game like literally dark? lol

  • Ric Vazquez

My Vita and PS3 are ready.
