    Does Asiasoft block Indonesia?

    • Ferrick

the one that holds PSO2 blocks indonesia iirc

      • kyubey777

        well shame, is asiasoft anyway

I’m enjoying playing JP server, what i worry is, when SEA server launch they start blocking ip, and Indonesia doesnt count as SEA (meh) , but they block it it would be sayd

  • XyzzySqrl

So where do you put the key once you’ve got it?

  • ZeroV3

Siliconera always the best place to get beta-key for every pre-launch game! Must say Thank you so muchy~!

  • Callonia

    didn’t asiasoft block usa?

    • Ace Trainer Chris

      • Callonia

        Then why this article x.x

  • Apparently I can’t log in to my old Asiasoft account because they locked out US IP addresses :(

  • And they are gone

  • Thatguy

That was fast… like usual. I can’t get a key.

  • Chris Evan Jonance Ingeniero

Im glad that i live in the PH and ill be able to experience PSO2 what im not glad is that AsiaSoft is fucking incompetent when it comes to customer support =_=’

  • Tetris

Thanks Siliconera. =) Got a key and activated it, going to go grab the client now.

  • Tetris

Is there a faster way to download the client? The torrent is horribad slow.

  • Ace Trainer Chris

Just a reminder: the game IP blocks anyone outside of the Southeast Asian area. So no North American or European players, sadly.

    • Tetris

At what point? Because it allowed to make an account and redeem the key and sent me to the client downloads. It’s easy to change an IP anyway.

      • Crevox

If you’re willing to do something like VPN or mask your IP, you’re better off just playing the JP version. Much easier, and better, for many reasons.

        • Xerain

And with an official fully English client now in existence, I’m sure updates or alternatives to whatever fan patches are out there are a stone’s throw away.

          • Crevox

SEGA updated their internal english names (used in the files, example being monsters) with the English patch names a long time ago. It’s funny, they actually took the monster names that the English community came up with for the patch and used them for PSO2es (stuff like Burn Draal, etc).

That’s not to say that will be the case here, but yeah, you’re exactly right.

          • ClaireBeare

I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make. It’s not something they “took up” from the English community if the word was literally what is was to begin. Case in point, your example “Burn Draal” is “バーン・ドラール” in what other way could you translate that and actually say, “Sega stole this translation”.

          • Crevox
        • Tetris

I know it’s the latest version when it comes to updates and all that, but isn’t it a hassle keeping up with the English patch when it does update? I heard that somewhere.

          • Crevox

Only time English patch needs fixing is if they have a Tuesday/Wednesday maintenance, and they fix the patch before the servers even come up. The PSO2 tweaker program automatically updates and installs the latest english patch for you when you update the game with the maintenance.

You honestly don’t even notice that it’s something you have to do.

          • Tetris

I see, I see, thank you. I’ll just play a bit of the SEA beta and if I’m into it, I’ll play the Japanese version with patch. Thanks for the info and link. :)

  • Nate

Even though I can’t play this until it’s gets localized with the ip blocks. The more I see these neat PC games, the more I think about holding out on ps4/xbox one and getting this nice lenovo gaming laptop I’ve had my eye on. I still can’t decide, just yet.

    • Ace Trainer Chris

Look at it like this – PC has games you can play right now that justify the cost. While PS4 and Xbone are gonna need a lot more time to justify the cost, since there aren’t many games worth getting on them at the moment.

      • Nate

Thanks for the tip. You are absolutely right. I’m nervous about getting one, because I don’t know if it will even work. :) I’ve never played PC games much. Except for like solitaire. I do have a ps3/360/wii backlog I’m working on too.

  • DaiRaiOh

Just as a warning to anyone trying to jump through hoops to play this version, it’s not worth it. The company running it are pretty horrible and games under them become very joyless when you don’t pay.

  • Card

So a lot of people are saying to play on the JP servers with an english patch, is there a specific place to go for this? I’d really like to get into this but a big worry when the game first came out was basically being IP banned once you were foundout to be playing outside of Japan. Like is there a specific ship I should look for?

    • Ferrick

most english players play at ship 2, i don’t think i’m allowed to post the link to english patch, but you can do a quick google search to find the patch, and follow this guide to be able to play it

      • Card

Yea I’d imagine that the patch data is still easy to find, thanks for the info!

  • Captain Levi

Just play the JP version, this is nonsense.

  • ekibyougami

Not really excited about this anymore since I’ve played the heck out of the JP server (with the English Patch of course). Only when the SEA server get the Braver Class will I get interested in playing again even if the infamous Asiasoft will handle the SEA server. Gawd, I hope it wouldn’t feel like post-F2P Granado Espada all over again. That was probably the last subscription game I played before they turned it into a cashcow F2P.

  • Croix Zapp

    oh fuck it’s asiasoft

  • Kai2591

And Brunei? What about poor lil’ Brunei? We’re in SEA too….(once again we have been forgotten ;_;)

  • Kai2591

    Woohoo! Japanese voices!
