This Week In Imports: More Musical Final Fantasy, More Sword Art Online

By Spencer . April 21, 2014 . 4:57pm

image Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment makes its debut for Vita. This is the Japanese version of the game and since an English/Chinese version is in the works it might be better to hold off for that. Arc System Works also has BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma for Vita, Nexon’s MapleStory game for Nintendo 3DS debuts in Japan, and Square Enix’s has an encore of Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

Capcom will release Monster Hunter Frontier GG premium packages this week too which include codes for items and weapons for the online game.

Petitions for “Sword Art Online” to come to Western territories incoming in…

    3…

    2…

    1…

    • Renaldi Saputra

      lol

    • God

      I don’t make “petitions”, i make demands.

    • Eder García

i see the same One Piece Unlimited World Red scenario, it will come to the west for every console?

      • Juan Andrés Valencia
        • Eder García

i am not talking about one piece son, i am talking about Sword Art Online, since both games were developed by Bamco, possibly we will see a western release for every platform like one piece UWR

          • 하세요

Sure SOA had a huge spike in popularity, isn’t One Piece a little higher on the scale of “massive fanbase” to warrant localization?

          • Renaldi Saputra

One Piece has a way higher fanbase
and One Piece is the same way as dragon ball and naruto, only dragon ball and naruto will be usually localized to both EU and US, meanwhile One Piece not really

          • Harvey Tejada Loto

            no

          • Renaldi Saputra

not really, SAO is not a shueisha series
also this SAO is an exclusive PS Vita anime adaptation game
Bamco hates Vita, unless it’s Hideo Baba who said so for localization for Tales of series, since he’s the producer of Tales of

One Piece UWR is a port of the 3DS version, means not exclusive but multi-platforms

    • darke

Given it’s to the extent that not only is the anime here, but the LNs are being officially translated and published, I think they probably know it’s popular… but yeah, petitions wouldn’t surprise me. >.<

      • Renaldi Saputra

if that so then they have to do licensing first, since it’s not a shueisha series but dengeki one
licensing from Anime/manga/LN is expensive even from their exclusive author..
and exclusive PS Vita game weren’t approved by Bamco this far (exception for Hideo Baba’s words for localizing Tales of Hearts R) for western region especially US

        • darke

Sure. That’s the standard problem. But it’s going to be a problem whether they get a petition or not. :(

          • Renaldi Saputra

a petition on change.org is a good way to start, at least making Bamco intrigued about the amount of petition numbers…

Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode had done it, only they haven’t given anything about the localization announcement, only giving acknowledgement and asking us for bringing more petition numbers

    Three days.
    Three more days.
Then my lovely darling package of Final Fantasy and SaGa Rythm addiction ships.
    Soon. Very soon.
    I can’t wait.

Wonder if Capcom’s cancelled MHF VITA.

Pre-ordered my Curtain Call a few days ago. Been playing the demo a few more times to prepare myself. So excited!

  • AuraGuyChris

    Don’t you mean…

Sword Art Online: Kirito’s Dating Tribulations?

    • God

Your comment reminded me of Ace Attorney…
      SAO: Kirito’s Harem Party
      SAO: Kirito For All
      SAO: Dating And Tribulations
      SAO: Klein Justice
      SAO: Double Timing

      • Harvey Tejada Loto

        klein justice is the best

        • God

          I was going to put
SAO inseminations: Akihiko Kayaba 1 and 2 but i thought that was pushing it.

  • God

So, no Yandere Hell localization news?

    • Renaldi Saputra

      no no no
NISA won’t localize original VN that had no dedicated fanbase or had 0 fanbase, unlike disgaea which the fanbase had been built since few years ago..

except if Aksys will take it but I still doubt

      • God

        Damnit!

  • TrueDefault

Demon Gaze comes out on the 25th of April for us, not as the same time as US.

  • Kornelious

Hopefully know that it’s out we might hear some word on the Subtitles in the Asian version.

  • Lehiko

I really hope Yandere hell comes state side

  • Ben Jammin Hobson

Child of light aint out til the 30th in EU.
