Mario Golf: World Tour’s DLC Courses Detailed

By Ishaan . April 23, 2014 . 10:29am

As reported earlier in the week, Mario Golf: World Tour will have downloadable content that will add new courses and characters to the game. Three DLC packs will be available for $5.99 each, and each one will contain two new courses with 18 holes each. Each pack will also come with a new character.

Further details on these DLC packs are now available courtesy of Nintendo’s Japanese branch. We now know what courses each DLC pack contains, and have images of them alongside character screenshots. You can find the information below.

Mushroom Pack ($5.99):

Adds Toad Highlands and Koopa Park courses.

Adds Toadette as a playable character.

Flower Pack ($5.99):

Adds Layer-Cake Desert and Sparkling Waters courses.

Adds Nabbit as a playable character.

Star Pack ($5.99):

Adds Rock-Candy Mines and Mario’s Star courses.

Adds Rosalina as a playable character.

Each pack will be available for $5.99 or at a discounted rate of $14.99 if you purchase the Season Pass containing all three. If you buy all three courses in either form, you’ll also get Gold Mario as a bonus playable character. He has a “Golden Flower shot” that gains coins for every yard it travels.

Mario Golf: World Tour will be available in North America on May 2nd.

Update: English names for Mario’s Star and Toad Highlands updated. Thanks to ClaireBeare for pointing out the info on the English website!

Well, i think i’ll at least get the Rosalina one.

    • Ethan_Twain

Yeah… me too. I’m surprised how much of a draw that is for me.

    Looks nice!
I appreciate Nintendo’s recent experiments with pay models. If people didn’t know already, this game’s going around for as low as 30 dollars retail in the US, and is gonna have monthly tournaments starting around release to support early purchase.
(a little off topic, but I’m glad World Tour’s modeling itself after the GBA game some… I’ve played that game for unmeasured time but couldn’t really take the golfing pure on Toadstool Tour)

All of the DLC information is on the English site as well.
The different names are Toad Highlands and Mario’s Star

Where were you when Fire Emblem Awakening, New Super Mario Bros 2 and Pikmin 3 all got DLC?

    • CozyAndWarm

Every other company has been doing DLC and getting away with it for years and years. Where have you been?

  • sakusakusakura_nyo

I might pick up the DLC courses if I like the game enough.

  • Zoozbuh

But surely, the main game is expensive enough…… I don’t usually like sports games but I’m quite enjoying the demo they put up for this one. Just like Wii Golf back in the day, but a lot more depth and prettier visuals :3

I think I like the 3rd set of courses best.

With Nabbit and Rosalina being more liked than Toadette to me.

Would get, but am broke. XD

  • Namuro

Yep, I’ll get the Star Pack for sure!

Rosalina looks kinda scary in that one picture, though…

If I get one, I gotta get ‘em all. Count me in!
