Last year, Level-5 announced Inazuma Eleven Online, an upcoming PC game for the Inazuma Eleven series, designed with action and strategic elements so even adults could get into the soccer battling series. 4Gamer gives us a first look at the game.

Inazuma Eleven Online was originally going to launch in winter 2013, but after a short delay,Level-5 announced that they will launching the game in May. The game boasts a bunch of skills and strategic elements that fans of the series have come to known, which can all be done with simple clicks.

While NHN PlayArt will be helping out in hosting the online service for Inazuma Eleven Online, Level-5 will also be working with OLM, the studio that handles the Inazume Eleven anime series, for the game’s animated scenes.

The game will only require a mouse to play, and is said to be simple and enjoyable enough for children and adults to enjoy. In addition to pulling off all kinds of special moves, putting together your best team and working on different strategies will be the key to winning matches.

The “Special Break” feature allows you to pull off special moves that will have an effect on entire teams. For example, some may be used as a buff to increase your team’s speed, while others could be used to prevent the opposing team from using special moves.

Characters can be acquired through points from winning games. From there, you’ll be able to add them to your squad and level them up. By putting two of the same players together, you’ll be able to increase their level cap to further enhance their abilities.

Inazuma Eleven Online boasts over 200 skills, so you’ll have plenty to choose from along the many characters that will be made available for your perfect team.

Inazume Eleven Online is expected to launch sometime in May for PC.

Only a mouse? Sounds like it’s going to suck

It’s not all that much different from the DS games, really. Just in place of the stylus, it’s a mouse (and the graphical style is similar to the Strikers games).

Would like this to be available in consoles, too. Kinda sick of DCUO now.

Pretty great, it seems to be a mix between DS-type of input and the Strikers type of camera. Hopefully the final release it’s not IP-blocked for people outside of Japan, like the beta does.

looks like they just reused the strikers assets also it doesnt look like it has any go content thus far which means ther probly saving it for an update

Is it going to have a cash shop?

Wondering how many characters will be there. I mostly want to use teams from the Football Frontier arc that are not called Teikoku nor Zeus. >_>

This looks fun. But I think eventually hackers will ruin it.

    Will there be GO characters?

Only on PC? And targeting kids? I would assume that they would be targeting the Japanese market, and last I knew they weren’t that PC-heavy. Maybe the consoles are dying not just to mobile…

Pro tip: Don’t play this game before watching 2014 World Cup. It’s going to make World Cup looks boring. :D
