If anyone ia interested it looks like Lufia: The Legend Returns and Harvest Moon 3 are on the way as well.

    • Christopher

This does interest me. Thank you for the info.
Do you have a source on this?

    • Amine Hsu Nekuchan

Lufia The Legend Returns? Awesome! Now almost every good GBC game is on the virtual console. Too bad we will probably never seen Star Ocean: Blue Sphere…

      • landlock

Not officially no but it seems a fan translation is coming along nicely. Which is the next best thing.

        • Amine Hsu Nekuchan

I know Aeon Genesis has had it listed for years, but Gideon hasn’t said anything about it since 2012… Or do you mean a different studio?

          • landlock

There are other games on there that don’t get updated for 2/3 years + and then suddenly get an update.

If it’s listed then it’s still in the plan I think it goes. I’m sure they’ll get there some day. Heck they still do loads of Snes games. There plenty of time for GBC.

As long as I get to play it at some point there’s no time limit. :)

          • Amine Hsu Nekuchan

True, true. I do hope we see something eventually.

If all the people who pretend they care about Megaman now, cared about it when it mattered, they would still be making new Megaman games.

    • Except Mighty No. 9 and other things like it is an ever-increasing sensation.

And I don’t pretend to care about Mega Man. I enjoy the hell out of it and did ever since I was 10 and got MM IV for the GB which I consistently play through on a constant basis and have gone on to get quite the chest of games under that franchise since that time 20 years ago.

The bottom line is it’s a Capcom falling out as of late, not the fans, and it’s a continued decline for laziness.

Because you know we may as well just write this one off as ‘new Mega Man game’ cuz hey you wanted Mega Man, right?

      • Brimfyre

That’s a whole other issue. Mighty 9 only got support because fans hate Capcom so much.

        • No, they got support because it’s Inafune making a game that they’ve wanted Capcom to make for a while now.

Inafune went on to say that he would very much want to do MML3 if he could. It wasn’t but a month ago that SE made an article about it.

          • Brimfyre

Yeah I’ve had this argument before. Don’t really want to have it again.

          • Yea, I’m not a fan of losing arguments either. Perhaps if you didn’t start a post with a loaded comment you wouldn’t have these problems.

          • Brimfyre

It’s all conjecture and opinions. How can I loose a battle of opinions?

Edit: Actually just look in the comments of the article you linked if you want to know how this argument would shake out.

Hey! I gave Capcom 60$ day one for MMX7, don’t tell me I didn’t care after me buying even the worst MM game at full price!

      • BleuVII

Such a bad game. Though I would have felt worse for buying X6. I’ve never actually been offended by a game’s badness before.

          • Admittedly, Blaze Heatnix’s stage has some great music.

It’s just a stark contrast to the actual gameplay it represents.

        • César H. Sandoval

X6 is also bad in a lot of ways, but I really don’t hink it reaches the lows of X7 man!

At least X6 has some good music, decent menu colors, better voice acting (because no-dub lol) and a playable X from the get go, X7 was a Megaman game were the “Megaman” of turn was an unlockable….

          • BleuVII

And that IS the debate, isn’t it? What it came down to for me was this: I would play X7 again. It was not well-made, but it offered a unique experience. I would never, ever, ever play X6 again. I am filled with rage even thinking about it.

          • César H. Sandoval

I replayed X6 last year, it really was rage-fuel.

I went for the 100% of X7 while the game was new, and then never play it again ever.

          • Rohan Viajar

what about X8? I actually really like X8.

          • César H. Sandoval

I like both Command Mission and X8, thank god they were nothing like X7.

        • Reiswindy

One just can’t “not” love this

          • César H. Sandoval

      • Vesperion

Megaman X7 retailed for $60 back when it was released?

        • Qunton C.

          Not in America at least.

          • César H. Sandoval

I Paid them 1500Lps (About $75) when it came out because LOL Vidya taxes in my country, I said “$60” just of the top of my mind to better illustrate how I paid Full Price on day1 for an horrible Megaman game.

Nowadays, a brand new game costs me $85…

      • You have my sympathies. Also, I did the same thing. And to this day, I hate onions with a fiery passion.

        • César H. Sandoval

And loud Hyenas! “Burn to the ground!”
They will haunt me for life…

    • Fen Y

Except we cared back then and bought the games. Which is why MMX got up to 8(!) and even got a RPG.

Capcom simply decided to focus on battle network and other series, such as ZX and MMZero.

Consumers do not actually have the power to force a company to make something. If a company doesn’t, then it’s the fault of the company.

Blaming the consumer here is utter stupidity.

      • Brimfyre

I agree, and I hate, like everyone else does, when an exec or Marketing guy says, “Well Product A didn’t sell so we aren’t making Product B.”

BUT you’d have to be pretty dense to not think that is what actually happens. They are always looking at the bottom line.

  • tubers

I smell a 3DS exclusive megaman coming in the distant future xD (not talking about GV)

  • Pombar

Now if Squeenix would just give us FFLegend 3, I’d be satisfied on the GB/GBC front.

  • Anthony Hadow

Still waiting for Dragon Quest games, also, would love to have mega man 1-10 available on 3ds

  • JNT

Can’t believe people wouldn’t vote for Mega Man V to be the first released, being the best and most original of all the GB games!
