Touch Detective’s Mackenzie Gets A Nendoroid Figurine

Touch Detective’s Mackenzie is getting a Nendoroid figurine, and it comes with her buddy, Funghi, included. You can view the Nendoroid set over at the Good Smile blog.

The Good Smile Company writes:

One of Mackenzie’s most characteristic features is the shadow that her hair casts on her face. We wanted to make sure we kept a similar look, and after trying all sorts of different options and getting the publisher’s opinions on each and everyone… we eventually settled on simply keeping the original illustration as is on the Nendoroid. This was the option that really kept most faithfully to her appearance in-game!

The Nendoroid is now up for pre-order. Meanwhile, Touch Detective Rising 3 was just released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan.

It’s like the real thing. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Nendoroid!

Man, it looks like she walked straight out of the game. I can’t justify buying this one because I’m not the -hugest- fan, but I’m sure happy for people that are.

    must… resist… dick joke!

  • D-Omen

Oh man, I need this thing. Make Chloe and Penelope too while you’re at it? :3

  • Usually, I see nendroids that I want, but not want. This is one of those wants though~.

What is a nendriod figure, and how is it different from any other character figure?

    • Wappuli

Nendoroid is basically just a brand-name, but they do have a specific appearance-style.
They have this chibi-look and are around 10cm tall. The chibi-look isn’t so clear with Mackenzie since that’s pretty much how she looks ingame too.
They also have various changeable limbs, faces and accessories, which are most of the time compatible with other Nendoroids, making them pretty poseable.

Anybody play the Touch Detective games? Debating if I should give them a try.
