Pre-Order Mario Kart 8 and Get A $25 Dell Promo eGift Card

By Viet Do . May 7, 2014 . 2:30pm

Still have nightmares of that red shell smashing your kart right before the finish line from the N3DS Mario Kart? For all those who still find value in having friends over for a local multiplayer game, in less than a month Mario Kart 8 hits the shelves on Wii U. With a high end title like this, a pre-order price break is just not going to happen. However, a particularly interesting bonus has shown up at Dell Home. Yes, apparently Dell sells video games, and pre-ordering Mario Kart 8 from them nets you a $25 promotional eGift card.

To pick up the $25 bonus, you’ll have to act relatively fast. The offer ends Sunday, May 11th at 8am Eastern. While the $25 gift card is a great incentive, it should be pointed out it’s called a “promotional eGift card” which carries a 90 day expiration date once issued. Add the game to cart to see the gift card offer. This is a decent offer if you’re planning to pick up another title from within the next 3 months. Otherwise you might want to pass.

In other deal news this week, there are a few solid PC Gaming offers. Dark Fantasy action-RPG Bound By Flame releases on Friday, but pre-ordering before the May 9th release date at Green Man Gaming allows you to get the price down from $39.99 to $25.50 – a 36% price break! While digital downloads of The Elder Scrolls Online seem to be selling well, physical DVD copies must not be moving off the shelves. GameStop has an online offer for the PC DVD version, where they’ve dropped the $59.99 price tag to $39.99, and there’s a free shipping coupon offer or free store pickup.

“Yes, apparently Dell sells video games”

Thank you for clarifying that’s what I thought too.

    • They actually carry a bunch of latest title, too bad no release day shipping yet.

But they’re one of the few places that have pre-order bonuses (even if its a Dell gift card that expires) for console games. Kinda rare these days.

  • 3PointDecoupage

Whats 25 bucks for going to buy? Headphones? Probably not. Maybe some ear buds…Doubt it. More like a tiny cloth sack for your earbuds. …If its on sale.

    • Strawberry Starlet

You can actually use it towards another game. I plan on getting Mario Golf with it, even though they don’t give you the coupon for 10 days or so. According to the site anyway.

Best Buy is also holding an offer with Mario Kart 8 that nets you a $10 gas card.

    • Aoshi00

Yeah i’m getting mine from best buy since I have 20% off from gamers unlocked. Alsothe $10 gas card would be useful,I thought it’s a fitting promo lol.haven’t touched my Wii u much..

    • AuraGuyChris

That card needs to be used when the prices for the gas are lower than today. Seriously, they’re atrociously pricy.

    • Thats hilarious but seems fitting given the game.
