Winnie The Pooh Game Lures Boyfriends With Promise Of Gifts For Girlfriends

By Eugene . May 17, 2014 . 3:30pm

Yeah, that Chanel. There’s been some crazy marketing choices in the past, but this one might just take the cake. Winnie the Pooh gets his own puzzle game in Puzzle Pooh, and to promote the game’s launch, players can take part in a competition that could see them winning prizes including Chanel handbags and purses “for their girls”.

Though it’s in Korean, Puzzle Pooh is dead simple to navigate if you’ve ever played any of its similar puzzle-ilk such as Candy Crush and Bejeweled. You get to rotate four squares worth of jewels and form chains of three or more that will then disappear.

There are special items to help boost the scores higher or assist in clearing the goals for each level as well. These can range from simply getting a high enough score, to dropping Pooh into the honey tree trunks. Matches of four or more same-colored jewels also creates powerups that can help swing the tide of battle puzzles.

Puzzle Pooh is available on Android now.

      • Anewme…Again

Maybe a bit more then that, but yeah probably not a lot.
It’s hard to be a gamer, having a job and a girlfriend at the same times.

          Tips & Tricks:

          – Get a girlfriend/wife who doesn’t demand a castle, contribute some to the material wealth of the household, are ok with you having a hobby & understand that you are into this together.
          – Get a satisfying job that motivates you to contribute to your company and society.
          – Involve yourself in your private economy and don’t waste money on stupid stuff. Balance your budget according to what work you do and how much free time you want.

          – High risk jobs like pro-gamer and the likes are probably not good for longevity. Your reflexes and such get worst as you get older, even if your passion for entertainment/games does not. Consider something like programming or game design/animators/etc if you are that dedicated (it doesn’t have to be a dream job though, just not something you hate).
          – Wife’s who allow you to be greatly independent usually are so themselves. If so, don’t expect her to soak up to you 24/7, and allow her to follow her own passions. If that may be skydiving, cosplaying or even work (if it is the latter then you’ve struck gold). Don’t get jealous and demand attention, etc, and be confident (just get a discreet DNA test for the kids if it’d really bother you that much, haha).
          – Try find someone who takes part in the household in arenas you don’t particular like yourself. And don’t stress the small stuff. If you hate cooking, and she likes it, but makes you more fish because of it, just soak it up and eat it (besides it is good for you you unhealthy blob!).

Odds of what you said actually happening: 7%
Odds of it happening to gamers dedicated enough to check a gaming news site: 1.048596%

As a recent riajuu, I find it’s mainly because gaming is a mostly solitary past-time. Even if the other person is a gamer, or some variant of introvert, the time you spend together still cuts into the free time you used to allocate to gaming or other hobbies.

I’ve heard and seen the phenomenon many people call a “relationship” but have yet to have the luck of such of ritual occuring for me, so video games it is…

      not to FEEL..

  • Pinkemon

Personally I wouldn’t really want one of these. They’re supposed to be
for status, I guess? But then you’d just be advertising: “HEY ROBBERS, I
HAVE EXPENSIVE SHIT.” But maybe that’s just me. :U

    • Kumiko Akimoto

      A girlfriend?

      • Pinkemon

        A fancy purse.

    • Lumi

And they aren’t that nice looking anyway. And are usually heavier than they have any right to be

  • Aquarius

I guess after you gift your loot to your partner, you should expect your dedicated Winnie (The Pooh) to receive a prize in exchange right?

I mean after all those “points” you accumulated together, you and your good friend Winnie deserve a good time.

Even I think that might have been too much… Sigh, I’m tired.

  • Sentsuizan_93

    >tfw no gf

  • Postnjam

I tried to put a handbag on my girlfriend, but it fell off because it was a pillow with Hatsume Miku on it T_T

  • Wat.

  • malek86

I know some girls who would actually care more for that Winnie’s plushie head than a Chanel handbag.
