Watch Dogs Pre-Order Coupon: Europe vs. US

By Viet Do . May 22, 2014 . 3:31pm

Next week Tuesday, May 27th marks the debut of Watch Dogs. For those looking to pre-order on the PC, you’ll have a variety of deals to choose from. If you’re in North America the best deal is a 20% coupon at GameFly Digital, that’ll save a decent $12 off the $59.99 list price.

In Europe, the discount gets significantly better in percentages with a €10 instant savings drop (or £5 drop in the UK) stacking with a 25% off voucher code at Green Man Gaming.

Both regions will receive the pre-order sales gimmick (yeah, I said it) of the “Blume Agent” DLC pack, which includes a Blume Agent outfit and a “Weapon Specialist Boost” for Less recoil on shots. Finally, for those on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, Microsoft Store is throwing in their usual free release day shipping incentive along with $15 worth of Xbox gift card (given as a code to add to your XBox Live account). You’ll have to order by 5 PM later today (May 22nd) to get free release day shipping guaranteed.

GMG also has a 25% coupon for Watch_Dogs as well after taking off the cash back option for North America. Bought it this morning for $45.

Which promo code did you use..? I tried to use the one I got through an email but it was UK only..:/

      • Tetris

That caused a bit of a crapstorm, them emailing EU codes to NA emails with no mention of it being region specific. They removed the credit/cash back for NA W_D and said they’re making a voucher for NA–in the meantime, contact their support about the issue and they give you a personalized code.

Godamnit, I was able to talk to them about it but I never got a coupon code, just an apology. I’ll reopen the ticket n let then know I didn’t receive one. Thanks for the heads-up.

Just letting people know: You should probably watch a stream, before you buy the game. I did, and I can say that the game does not look fun. Cover-shooting, hardly any people, shitty driving, 360 version looks worse than GTA5, mediocre plot and characters, etc. This is where some people would say “But there could be a Day 1 Patch that fixes all that!”. Well, let’s, first, forget that Day 1 Patches are cancer. To that, I say, sure, some things could be improved with a patch, but the core mechanics and story won’t.

And, of course, some people will say “But you haven’t even played it! You’ve only watched it!”. Sure, but, usually, if a game looks shit, then it plays shit. Honestly, with a patch, it could be an average, or, maybe, even an okay game, but I just don’t want people to waste their money. There’s no harm in watching a stream, before you buy the game.

To be fair based entirely on the gameplay footage it’s Assassin’s Creed: Hackers with boring looking gunplay. And pretty visuals on the PS4 and PC.
