Update: 5/30: The 25% coupon has expired at GMG, however 20% coupon ZMMIEX-EW1476-0PNL11 now makes Watch Dogs Deluxe Edition only $56 (normally $70) and the Standard Edition only $48 (normally $60). The same coupon works on Wildstar Deluxe and Wildstar.

Next week’s release of Watch Dog gets price slashed for pre-order during this long holiday weekend. Anonymous hacker meets Grand Theft Auto on Tuesday, May 27th in Ubisoft’s open-world Watch Dogs.

The game will debut for all platforms at the standard $59.99 list price; however, PC master race gets the usual digital download savings. For this weekend only there is a 25% off coupon code knocking $15 off the MSRP with a similar discount for the Watch Dogs Digital Deluxe Edition and Season Pass. The same coupon works on a few other PC upcoming releases such as Carbine Studio’s MMO WildStar.

Coupon for the games listed above will expire May 26th at 11 AM Eastern. Watch Dogs Digital Deluxe Edition will essentially net you about 2 hours more of gameplay for $7.50 (plus all those assorted in-game items/perks that comes with it). Is it worth it? Personal opinion = nope, but if you enjoy what you’ve seen in the trailers/preview/hype, then its not that terrible of a deal.

While Watch Dogs may be the newsiest item on the agenda, there’s lots of PC games on sale this weekend thanks to Amazon’s “Digital Games Mayhem” Sale, which launched on Thursday of this week and will go until the end of the month. GameStop also has a few key titles (Skyrim and Dishonored) on sale for dirt cheap prices – which is a good thing GameStop recently revamped their digital purchase process. Finally joining 2014, you no longer need to download GameStop’s Impulse client in order to get your games – just pay, receive the Steam/Origin/Uplay/DRMextremeX keys and you’re good to go. About time, GameStop!

For anyone who just happens to be shopping for a GPU, Nvidia offers this game for free via digital download, albeit it has to be a purchase of a qualifying GPU. I had bought a GPU from Amazon not too long ago and will get an email containing a download code within the next few days. Too bad I can’t play it since my PC build is less than halfway done.

15% off but the base price is 70 bucks? You fucking kidding me? The current price is what it should normally cost without a sale.

    • Kaitsu

That’s the Deluxe Edition. The regular game is $59.99

My attitude towards Watch Dogs has shifted greatly since it was announced. This is now a buy on black friday in 2 years for $10

You’re far too pessimistic. it’ll be that price during the Steam Summer Sale before Christmas this year. :)

    • This year, $15

  • Impressionnant

I heard that the PC version is very cpu intensive. Watch out.
