Run The Risk Of Infection In This All-Girls Versus Zombies Tactics Game

By Eugene . June 1, 2014 . 3:31pm

Someday soon, the zombie craze will be over and we can all go back to other forms of clichés. That day isn’t today, though, which is why there’s an all-girl versus zombie hordes PC browser game in Infection X Girl: Café Of The Dead.

In the game, the world has predictably gone to zombie hell. All that’s left are plucky woman with weapons, trying to survive. The game’s a cross of social card game and a tactical RPG. Ladies you save get into set formations on your three by three grid and fight the undead.

The twist is that it appears in order to survive, you’ll be able to find and create medicines from dubious materials, such as the zombies themselves. While your gals are immune to the airborne version of the zombie plague, they’ll still turn if bitten in some fashion. The medicine is supposed, in some way, to help. If you dare that is. You’ll also have to wander the map to forage for food and other supplies.

You’ll be able to level the girls up, equip better gear, and go exploring in the world. Since this is an online browser game, there’s also a chat room to discuss tactics and such with other players.

Infection X Girl: Café Of The Dead is out now on PC.

a Zombie Tactical RPG would be fun.

but this does not appear to be my cup of tea.

    • Death Saved

Check out Dead State, its not anime based but it has a focus on the relationships between your characters it also features a base you can upgrade and the man in charge is also the writer behind Vampire The Masquerade – Bloodlines.

i’ve seen footage of it, though i’m saving my cash for other releases (Kingdom Hearts 2 HD Collection, Oreshika, waiting for Crusader Kings 2 to go on sale, etc.) So i might watch a let’s play of it for now.

        • Are you waiting for a Steam sale of CKII? I think it was on sale rather recently and last year I grabbed it for 75% off, since it’s been on sale multiple times already chances are high that it will be part of Steam’s summer sale as well… 8) That game is seriously overwhelming tho, I spent 5 hours watching tutorials on how to play the game and even then I still wasn’t too sure what I’m supposed to do… utterly in love with the concept of the game (definitely more interesting than Europa Universalis gameplay-wise, imo) but boy, there’s a lot of learning involved… ;>

          • Warboss Aohd

i’ve been watching alot of Let’s Plays for it, i think i know how to play it, but yeah it is not a simple game AT ALL.

Will get a bunch of DLC, Create a Mongolian Catholic, put him in Africa to see if i can make some Uber Mongolian African Empire.

  • Hound

I am trying, but I cannot find it. Anyone know the Japanese website? Or what the exact japanese name is? I tried 集団感染x少女 which lead to some rather depressing search results.

  • Awesome designs for the characters, but… shitty game. Yeah, really.

Would have loved if it was an Action game instead, like Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus or something. There’s more than 15+ females, so this could have been possible. GUTTED.

    • Duo Maxwell

Is the game that bad? I was intrigue by the sound of it and the character arts, but I don’t want to spend more time for bad games.

      • Yes, it is, trust me. Then again, it’s a Browser game, we shouldn’t be surprised. BUT, characters design looks great. There’s actually a lot of girls with nice weapons and all that would have been great for an Action game ala Shinovi Versus. That’s why it’s a shame.

the irony is i’ve played deep and engaging games on Newgrounds, which are browser games.

The Mardek Games, The Sonny Games, The Epic Battle Fantasy, The Rebuild Games, The Reincarnation Series, etc.

If they have a budget, they really don’t have an excuse for being terrible.

          • Shippoyasha

I guess stuff like Newgrounds works were works of passion + they outright stole some game ideas and mechanics at times as well. Plus, a lot of Japanese developers are rushed like crazy on top of having no budget.

          • Warboss Aohd

never played a game that played like the Rebuild Games, Sonny and Mardek are JRPG in nature (with their own unique concepts and systems granted.) so of course bits are taken from other games, but then again so is Every JRPG in that case, Reincarnation is a Point and Click, Point and Click games all play the same. Epic Battle Fantasy, see what i said about Mardek and Sonny.

Again, No Excuses For their Failure. Labors of Love? Yes, but most didn’t have a budget, These games? They DO, so no excuses for these guys.

  • CirnoTheStrongest

The problem is that it’s IP-locked

    • wererat42

So is Kancolle, but that hasn’t stopped people from jumping through the multiple hoops to play it.

      • CirnoTheStrongest

There’s a lot of risk for account bans when doing that though. And some of these services are set up to find VPNs. It can be done I know, just, it’s not the same. I’ll probably try it myself eventually.

  • ReidHershel

Anyone know how I can play this?

  • Sounds interesting. Gonna have to see it in action, and decide from there.

  • first screenshot design reminds me of…

  • If that was on steam I’d pick it up
