Tamsoft and Compile Heart have an action game Neptunia spinoff in the works. Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U lets players bring two characters with them to slash through Dogoos. You can switch characters like Neptune and Noire in the middle of battle. The characters you pick will talk to each other too.
Just like other Neptunia games, characters can transform into CPU form. While transformed, your character’s status go up, but you constantly drain your EXE Drive meter.
Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U also has a costume destruction system that works a little differently from Tamsoft’s other games. Costumes have a durability stat that goes down when you take damage and do specific actions. When a costume is destroyed you’ll take more damage, but there is a chance to turn the tide too since your critical attack rate goes up and EXE Drive gauge fills faster.
Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U comes out on August 28 for PlayStation Vita.
