I still can’t believe it’s almost been a decade since kingdom hearts 2

    • Time flies when you’re milking a franchise.

OOPS did I just say THAT out loud?

      • Ryker

Too bad that doesn’t apply to the customer. It feels like its been longer than 10 years! I remember being so hyped for so long, but now I just check up on the game out of habit. I think I may have a heart attack when it actually comes out.

        • I just think it’s really gone on far longer than it should – there’s some good that’s that came out of it (namely BBS) but a lot of it was just the same old story being stretched for as long as it possibly could be with little changed.

So yea I’m hoping KH comes to a close real soon myself, that said. It’s a mixed pot of reactions for me, mainly because I enjoy the combat system and the ideas behind it but I’m not so happy about what it’s become and how the element of story more or less went down the tubes for myself.

          • Ryker

I don’t even remember most of the story from the first two games, and I skipped most of the spin offs, so I’m going to have a hard time piecing together what’s going on. KH1 and 2 got quite ludicrous towards the end of each game though, so I’m not going to take it too seriously, even if I decide do refresher runs or play the spin offs. I’m more interested in seeing what Disney Worlds we’ll be exploring and how Sora and co will fit into it all. That was always the most fun aspect of the series for me. It’ll be nice to get some closure to Sora’s arc, or whatever it’s called(Xenohort saga?) as well.

          • I’ve got a good deal of the story down because of all the time I’ve played it or watched others or my sister do the same. The only thing is that it’s a bit of a mess and I hope that’s something they figure out with 3 in terms of ironing it out.

          • persona_yuji

KH1 story is fine on it’s own, the story doesn’t stretch too hard on the ludicrous department, it’s mainly 2 and Chain of Memories that they just went “f*ck it” and started driving the story into the silly lane of “WTF!?” full throttle.

          • Ryker

This tends to happen in games where Nomura is givin creative licence outside of character illustrations. See: Crisis Core: FF7

          • Chogokin

The story in BBS and DDD changed quite a lot.

          • Yes and I’m wondering what exactly they’re going to do to attempt to tie that all together. The good thing about 2 was that you could sort of weave together what 1 and CoM was without having played CoM…I would just wonder if you could do the very same with 3 once it starts. Is it going to be one of those games where you are going be able to identify the story by just playing the first 2 or are you going to need to pull up some dough and a few hundred hours of games to figure it all out?

          • Chogokin

3D recapped the games/plot points pretty well, I think KH3 could do the same.

          • Barrylocke89

Well in Square’s defense, that’s exactly why they’re making these HD versions of the game (well that and dat cash). You can play through the most important games of the series (and watch movies of the side stuff) at a fairly cheap price. It’s also nice to get old fans to catch up.

          • Aunna Terrell

Or even new fans to join the series before 3 releases. lol I know my 6-year old son is gonna enjoy watching me play through 1.5HD. He already loves the manga.

          • GOLD

i never played kingdom hearts 1 or 2, but after playing 3d i can say that the story is nonsense.

          • Owch. I can kind of tell why you would think that. The first one wasn’t so bad coming into it when it originally came out and moving up to 2 was a step in the right direction but from that point onto where we are now it more or less came undone.

          • Winston1547

Kingdom Hearts 2 was the beginning of the downward spiral. The first game did a good job of telling a simple and lighthearted yet fairly engaging story with appropriately cheesy dialogue that never took itself too seriously. Kingdom Hearts 2’s developers had a hard-on for shounen anime that has since developed into full blown priapism.

That said, by the time Birth by Sleep came along, the series had so many ridiculous elements in the stories that I didn’t even care what was going on. I like the game anyway because it’s awesome fun.

          • Spicydicey

            Yeah, 3D certainly isn’t a great starting point :P
If you’re at all interested in the game’s concept, though, I’d recommend 1.5 HD which has the first game and it’s relatively simple and satisfying plot.

          • GOLD

i plan to play both the remixes at some point. 3d made it a point to provide background info, so i was able to peice together the motives and reasons behind the main conflict. I just find those reasons nonsensical and somewhat preachy. at a certain point i stopped paying attention to the story because it was so convoluted. It lost my interest for the same reasons bleach and souleater did, it crawled too far up its own ass. it felt like entire sentences were comprised of kingdom hearts vocab and jargon. that said the game was alot of fun and got me through the worst summer vacation.

          • You must play the remixes.KH3D should be played AFTER playing the originals cuz the plot won’t really make much sense. Me? Damn man… I scrambled to play ALL KH games. I had a PS2, a GBA and 3DS just to play em. By the time KH3D, I enjoyed 100%! Cuz by that time I was already updated with the kh lore ;-).

I applause Nomura for cramming Te plot points of the previous KH games but if you didn’t play the originals, KH3D’s plot can be muddly. Glad I played all the KH GAMES before KH3D :-D

          • Spicydicey

Yeah, the series is becoming incredibly convoluted and shows no signs of slowing down :/

      • M’iau M’iaut

Ya you did. And we all heard it. Again :P.

        • Remind me when I said it last about this series?

          • M’iau M’iaut

There is always something you are driving into the ground. All I ask is that you step back just once every so often, you with Sara Matsunaga’s voice.

          • Tsh. Never let me have any fun…

            And I’m no Ueda, either.

          • M’iau M’iaut

I’ve let you have plenty of fun.

      • Shady Shariest

Waaaaaat. KH has had some quality games :/
Saying it’s milking would be the biggest overstatement in a while =W=

        • Not especially.

I mean I could have generalized that and stretched it out for most of Squeenix these days but that’s a cheap and easy shot.

          • Shady Shariest

They all expanded the story and/or tried new things… Does not count as milking imo. *Shrugs*

          • Eh, I went into my reasoning below in this post tree but the essential reason I have behind my thoughts is this story has been stretched thin for far too long. It was something that should have taken a lot less time than eight or so years to get another -true- installment.

          • Shady Shariest

            Hmhhmm… Yupo…
Not necessarily. Many of the spinoff’s created continuity that was required for a consistent story. Even BBS alone gives a very good foundation to all the rest of KH.

Just having a massive clusterfuck in KH III would mean dropping a lot of the planned material and universe out. Which i can hardly see anyone doing.

+ We do not know what kinda sum of these parts KH III will be. It’s not at all unlikely that the story of the series was set either on or nearly day 0. Meaning that all these games have been necessary as in to not leave that many plotholes in the third.

          • And I do mention BBS being a good point in my comments and you’re right – that is a core point as it provides a sort of back story to what brings about the original events in a sense. It’s something I would have expected in a sequel rather than a side-story, honestly.

          • Shady Shariest

I think Dream Drop Distance is something to be added to list, too.

…And in a sense, BBS counts as a prequel… The only reason it’s treated as a spinoff seems to be the release on PSP :x

          • MaximDualBlade

shhhhhhhh *puts finger to cover this person’s mouth gently* Don’t look for reason in SE behavior, you will only tire yourself

          • >.>

          • MaximDualBlade

next year it will be 10 years since kh2. do you really want to fight against that logic XD?

      • it’s funny cause they skipped a whole console gen.

      • harmonyworld

I wonder if nintendo heard it from over here~

      • GH56734

It even had its own shitty mobile app!

      • *drinking milk*

  • Ryker

Yet more teasing. Nice price on KH 2.5 though, I kept seeing it pop up at places for 59.99. Thought they were getting cocky with KH1.5’s success.

    • Steven Higgins

$59.99 is the go-to price for home console games now a days. Because new games are usually priced at that, online shopping sites put that up as a placeholder for ports/remaster/remakes too, before an actual price is announced, even though those usually wind up being $39.99. Just like Dec 31st is the go-to placeholder for a release date.

      • Ryker

True, and I considered that, but KH2.5 is going to have a HD console version of Birth by Sleep, a port that’s probably worth 30 dollars alone. I just thought that Square-Enix felt like they were providing so much value that a 60 dollar price point was warranted. I’m glad I was wrong.

  • YoshEE

Guess I know what I want for early christmas present lol. But wow even though it is just a hd remake, I cant wait especailly the little teaser at the end of the vid ^__^

  • DesmaX

Oh boy, I’m so hyped. Hope we’ll see at least something new at E3.

And, was that 3D cutscenes in HD? Hope it’s getting remastered too

    • Anime10121

It will, they’ll need SOMETHING to release between KH2.5 and KH3’s (likely 2017-18) release!

  • Ni ~Algidus~

so can we say that Lost Masters are like the Siths from Star Wars?

    • As if Manse… I meant Xemnas resembles a Sith with black hooded cloak and those red Ethereal Blades of his.

      • Ni ~Algidus~

yup. his true self while being young uses blue ethereal blades

    • Grape Monet

Considering that Disney owns Star Wars, the Lost Masters could very well BE the Sith from Star Wars, if they chose to make them so.

    • Well… maybe, maybe. There’s a chance. Hmmm, from the way it sounds though… when Guy 1 mentions the Keyblade War again.. yeah, it may sound like they’re like Siths. Xehanort, so far, is the only villain of KH we know who really wants to attain the power of Kingdom Hearts. So these Lost Masters may actually be the ones that inspired Xehanort. Xehanort keeps mentioning the Keyblade War in BBS right? And he was in the exact location where it happened.

And also… who are the two guys talking at the end of the teaser? hohohoh XD mystery deepens!

      • Prinnydoom

Its Xehanort, not xemnas. Xehanort is the one in BBS.

        • damn XD why do I ALWAYS get their names wrong. XDDDDDD

XEHANORT. right, right. Gotta edit my stuff. Thanks for reminding me.

    • Aunna Terrell

It’s probably the browser game we never got in English (Kingdom Hearts X[chi]), since that game was part of the Keyblade Wars?

    • Steven Higgins

I’m assuming the “Lost masters” are the Foretellers from [Chi]

  • Shady Shariest

Oh… I can bet all my money that this was originally going to be “The reveal” of third game.

  • BTW, has anyone seen Jolie’s Maleficent movie? Does anyone think it has chances that Nomura might implement any of its concept in KH3?

    • Ecchitori-san

      • If you ask me, if Nomura has plans to insert something from it unto KH3, it better not be the titular character’s portrayal for consistency’s sake. She was established Mistress of All Evil since the first game, and, better to remain that way.

    • I don’t think so. KH Malecifent is ALREADY good. She has her own sub-plot in the KH world after all. I don’t think Nomura has to add the Jolie concept into this. It would just ruin everything.

And yeah, I know why it shouldn’t be Jolie’s. Nomura better not.

      • Yup. Mistress of All Evil should still be a Mistress of All Evil in KH3. If Nomura would like to implement anything from the movie to her, it better be not her character portrayal there.

        • NOPE. Don’t want that. Just let her have the subplot with still her being a badass mistress… not the Jolie one. NO.

  • Ahh birth by sleep. The game that killed off my interest in the overarching story. Still hyped as all hell for 3 though.

    • ShadowDivz

      Really? Why?

      • For me that’s when it started to get so convoluted it became almost fanfiction levels of bad.

        • Anesia Hunter

excuse me if i sound completely stupid in a moment…

well, you can always try to look at it from a different perspective and what i mean is that you can look at the storyline as a whole rather than just individual games and thereby linking corresponding events to each other. for example: birth by sleep explained roxas’ appearance, 358/2 days explained how and why roxas was being hunted down by axel in the beginning of KH2. get what i mean? each spin-off game helps to explain and expand more of the main games and in the end forming one huge story.

anyways, i’m looking forward to KH3, however i am hoping that they don’t make us play as sora all or most of the time. there’s going to be too many keyblade users in the next game for them to just go and limit us to sora. ~_~

  • Slickyslacker

    Nothing more to say.

December 2nd..Oh yeah, ‘got it memorized’ :D

  • kenshinx13

PLEASE, since there will inevitably be a Final Mix of KH3, PLEASE LOCALIZE THAT ONE!!!! You’ve already proven you’re willing to finally bring those over with these special remixes, SO PLEASE GIVE US THE FINAL MIX OF 3 LIKE JAPAN

    • LightZero

DLC replaces the need for any Final Mixes so don’t worry.

  • Go2hell66

    geez december is too far

  • harmonyworld

I started up KH2 on my old ps2 recently
sad to say my disc has so much wear on it that one of the cutscenes glitched and froze~
KH2 and BBS are my favorite of the KH series so far!
    Can’t wait!! :3

  • Izzeltrioum

Of course they had to tease KH3. Even SE knows it had to be done.

Still Hacky n’ Slashy as ever, KH? Battle Designers at SE should take some Zestiria or YS inspirations if they want to have a proper battle system with KH3.

    • harmonyworld

NO! KH2 battle system is fine!
I would at least like something memorable to come into along with a brand new story and hopefully settings as well.
That way it’s not to out of place when you start.

    • Steven Higgins

Well, the Dive Forms are very similar to the Kamui. “Fuse” with a character, gain their strengths but loose their participation in battle.
Anyway, the action based battle system is one of the signatures of the series. Without it it just wouldn’t feel like KH. They’ve tried several different configurations but it has almost always been that fast paced. And since KH III is the next numbered title, i think they should keep the command menu system but improve it like they did from 1 to 2

  • Sugoi! So the Lost Masters eh? Wonder who they might be… So they might be exiled Keybladers. After all, Eraqus and Xehanort were so far (along with Master Aqua) were the only masters of Keyblade. But we’ll see. Hmmmm… So maybe Xehanort is planning to have them join him too? Hehehehehe.

Anywho! Hmmmm… gives me a nice excuse to replay these games again :-D EVen if I finished ALL KH games (including KH3D), I still wanna play them again!!!

Oh guys… did you notice that they included clips from KH3D? :-D hehehehehe…. I have a feeling they’re gonna re-release KH3D elsewhere. I feel it. You can’t grasp KH3’s story until you’ve played KH3D. Anyone who wants to know why KH3 will be what it is needs to play KH3D…. BUT… if SE subtly included clips from KH3D, then hehehehe… I can see it being released in other platforms :-D I’m calling it!

    • SoundMatch

I think it has something to do with X Chi,

      • Hmmm… checking now, you might be right. May have to do with X Chi. X Chi takes place DURING the Keyblade War so whatever happens in X Chi will expand into KH3. Interesting.

        • SoundMatch

Actually to correct you its before the keyblade war. Xehanort was talking about the people fighting over the ownership of light aka the 5 unions (I’m in Vulpus). There is also a sixth master however we do not know of him/her. The cards in the game are from a Tome of Prophecy and we are using the power of the future to try and change it. (There are dark cards and I believe this master is responsible for them).

This game is merely a spin off however the concepts of what is happening is canon (just not the execution).

Also to note I don’t know if this will stay canon but there is a special keyblade called Starlight and it is mass produced and has half the output of an original manufactured keyblade. I believe in a later story update we will learn how Keyblades are truly made and who invented them in the image of the X(chi) Blade.

And there are separate worlds (again I don’t know if this concept will stay) but it seems like these worlds will break down into darkness and be reborn as the ones we know of today. But that time in darkness will probably be a few thousand years or something (like how Aqua was in the darkness for more than a decade but didn’t age) and come back to where they were. Thats probably how King Triton from Atlantica and many figures across the world learnt of the keyblade (during X chi) but doesn’t explain how they know that their world is severed from others.

Anyways sorry for the long post but you seem quite interested so thats pretty much all you need to know about X Chi.

  • Sounds EPIC!

  • Rayhan PromisedGallery

Kingdom Hearts 2.5 release date announced. And it tease that KH3 will
tell us the young days of Xehanort, when he was fighting titans

    • Young Days….

You know what? Maybe the two guys speaking at the end of the teaser are Xehanort AND Eraqus! It sounds like. The first guy sounds really ballsy while the other guys just responds without much conviction. Just my 2 cents. It could be the two.

‘And the way first guy speaks of the Keyblade War, he sound very enthusiastic. Much like how Xehanort sounds when he speaks of the War throughout BBS.

      • Felix Sepulveda IV

its young Xhanort and young Eraqus most likely

        • Right? So we’ll have more insight into Xehanort and Eraqus’s younger days AND know more about Xehanort’s fascination of the Keyblade War.

The lost Masters… NOW that’s something we’ll see expanded for KH III :-D

          • Felix Sepulveda IV

Yeah the Lost Masters is going to be an interesting aspect of KH3. We might also get to to see Young Eraqus and his attachment to light since both Xehanort and Eraqus take their sides to the extreme which is really cool.

          • Right? And we’ll know more about the Keyblade War. Plus, we’ll get to see what those “masters” were like before BBS. Awwww yeah.

    • XD hahahahahaha WTF. The Attack on Titan artists REALLY love to take some inspiration eh XD

Wouldn’t be surprised if Young Xehanort contacted AoT man XDDD

      • Learii

        lol now that funny lol

        • Xehanort: You know, once saw the Ice Titan in Olympus Colosseum..
Xehanort look-alike AoT guy: Cool story bro. I fought Titans… THOUSANDS OF THEM. More disgusting and human-like. Ever heard of a Titan that ate the main protagonist’s mom in half? BURN!
Xehanort:…… never mind. I’ll just find Kingdom Hearts without you.

          XDDD lol

    • isotrex

Haha. Good one sir. You win the day for me. :)

    • Ric Vazquez

LOOOOOOOOOOOOL never thought about this, genius!

  • Oguri Murasaki

    Keyblade War eh?! can’t wait!

  • Makoto Yuki

I swear if they anouce release date for KHIII I will get myself a Ps4 to prepare my body right away!!

  • Slickyslacker

JP release date confirmed to be October 2nd.

    Want to update?

  • DrakeClawfang

I’m disappointed they haven’t given the BBS trio their capes in gameplay. I get it was removed to ease load times in multiplayer on the PSP, but this is the PS3 now, there’s no excuse, even if they preserve multiplayer functionality.

  • SoundMatch

Funny I literally just found and bought KH2 FM yesterday. There are lots of them here but mostly Ultimate hits versions I hate seeing that on the side. Hopefully the cover for KH2.5 will be original as well.

  • *Straps self onto the Hype Train*

  • KH3D clips guys! There were clips of KH3D sprinkled in this trailer. I’m calling it: KH3D re-release!!!!

    • Malon

So I DID spot this Tron world. What does that mean? :(

      • Well, it means…

If you played KH3D: then there’s a chance it will be re-released. KH3D is the bridge of KH 1.5 and 2.5 HD Remix to KH3. It’s like how 358/2 Days and re:coded, formerly Nintendo-exclusive games, were re-released for PS3 fans. Thought they’re not games per se but movies. KH3D is a very important game so maybe they’re teasing to us they’re gonna re-release in some form/

If you haven’t played KH3D: Above, and the Tron World is based on Tron: Legacy. Sorry can’t spoil you why the Tron world is there. Let’s just say… nah, sorry.

        • Vash bane

spoil me already I’m confused here :'(

          • Can’t man XD There are others who might not have played.

Let me explain in a spoiler-free way: Kingdom Hearts 3D or Dream Drop Distance is the sequel to Kingdom Hearts 2 and re:coded. It was released for the 3DS back in 2012, and it tells the story of Sora and Riku taking a test to become Keyblade Masters, to stop the returning Xehanort. After the events of KH2 and re:coded, the two must take tests in the Sleeping World, a set of worlds that are stuck in limbo right after Ansem engulfed almost all the worlds in darkness in KH1. Sora and Riku must free these worlds to pass the test. But somebody is waiting for them there..

This game is what sets up Kingdom Hearts 3’s plot ‘cuz you’ll find out why. Plus, it explains a lot about some questions you got ;-D I can tell you this: the way this game ends is like how The Empire Strikes Back ended. It leaves you on a cliffhanger. That’s what I can say.

      • Aunna Terrell

The first Tron movie is in Kingdom Hearts 2. The clip before the one minute mark is from KH2. I don’t see the Grid from 3D in the trailer.

      • Oh yeah… The Tron world you saw is in KH2. My bad. I thought you saw the few second clips after 2:30 minute mark.

    • Aunna Terrell

      Which clip?

      • Check at 2:30 minute mark. When the text “the next act opens” flashes, you’ll see glimpses of Vanitas, Young Xehanort, Sora, and Master Xehanort (sitted). Those were shots from KH3D. It’s slight but those are KH3D. Everybody might mistake them to be in KH2 but they’re really from KH3D.

        • Aunna Terrell

Then probably a scene in KH3. Or a CG movie packaged with 3?

          • That’s the big question. Can’t be a scene from KH3 cuz KH3D is the game that will set-up KH3. It’s sort of like: KH1 – Days is ACT 1, KH2, BBS, and re: coded is ACT 2. So ACT 3 begins with KH3D.

Who knows? It can be a movie, or a playable re-release. They made the GBA Chain of Memories playable as a PS2 remake, so who’s to say KH3D can’t be re-released right? We’ll have to wait.

If I see another set of clips of KH3D in the next trailer, then SE is already teasing so much that the re-release or movie will really be coming out soon. XD

  • TheSegaMan

The teaser was awesome! A bit suspenseful too. Honestly though, that is probably all Square is showing regarding KH3 for E3. Still I hope they at least give some more details on it like a confirmed Disney world or something. Also VERY excited for 2.5, as I can finally play the Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts 2 and play all its beautiful glory in glorious HD.

  • Charmchar

That tease… Pulling on my heart strings Nomura… 。:゚(。ノω\。)゚・。

  • Kornelious

This is freaking awesome! This is evrything I wanted to see in this trailer/
So first off we have Final Mix 2, SE knew excatly what we wanted and made sure to put in all the new content we never got, And how awesome is that! The only thing I didn’t see was the cavern of Rememberance but I’m sure that’s there too.

Next Birth by Sleep…..Nothing to really say about this one exceppt that it will be awesome to play a PSP game in HD on the PS3! :D

Then we have Re:Coded and wow did SE make an improvement ffom 358/2 Days. So many new cutscenes, and that Sora vs. Riku Fight looks so epic! I can’t wait to see it! :D

And lst but not least KH 3….We didn’t see andthing new footage-wise but we do have so new info on something called the “The Lost Masters” and how Darkness will defat light which sounds pretty interesting!

So I gotta say that my hype meter for this and KH3 just went up x100! December can’t come soon enough! :D :D :D

Calm down , pal . So let me see what’s new in this trailer , umh ,huh , new info about KH3 ? lost master ? Oh my gosh , oh my gosh ,GHAHAHAHAAAAAHAHAHAHAHDASDASDFDALSDJASND :D ;D ;D ;D

    • Dood, you didn’t notice the KH3D clips?! XD man, why hasn’t anybody picked on those.

      • Steven Higgins

Pretty sure they only put those in there because KHIII takes place immediately after it and is the only one not included in a Re:MIX

        • Might be. But why just sprinkle them in there right? Seriously, those clips I’ve seen are the very important elements of the KH3D story.

I’m calling it: KH3D re-release. If SE likes to release KH games every year, I’m gonna say KH3D is our next re-release next year so that way, people are all well-equipped for KH3. After all, KH3D takes place IMMEDIATELY after re:coded. >:-D

          • Steven Higgins

Looking closer, I’d agree with you. If you compare the clips in the trailer to the ones in the game, they’re much higher quality, equivalent to the remasters.
Question is, if it IS remastered, what are they going to include with it? I doubt they’d remaster and port a single game on its own, so will it be included as a video volume with KH III or remade as a third collection, possibly with playable versions of Days and Re:Coded as so many have theorized?

          • THAT’s the next big question. It can go either way, I suppose. Either way, ‘cuz in the past, SE DID technically make a Nintendo KH game be re-released in full form without turning it into a movie: Chain of Memories. Yes, it was GBA and yes, it was a remake. But still, if SE did do that for Chain of Memories, they may do it for KH3D.

Either way. It can be a movie volume or it can be a game, re-released as its own game. All we can do is wait.

As for the theory of Days and RE;Coded being playable… I doubt it. I don’t think SE’s gonna spend any more funds just to make them playable. They already exhausted themselves making the DS KH games into movies, why waste more time making them into games?

Man, glad you saw it. See? Few of us caught the glimpse of KH3D. Heck, even the picture cover used for this article is Young Xehanort! That’s the sinister look he gives you when you first meet him in KH3D.

Well, we’ll just wait. I hope they can re-release KH3D in any form. Not for me, but for the many who haven’t played it. It’s the important KH game that will give people the set-up to what KH3 will be!

SE… sneaky doods, I say. hehehe XD brilliant.

          • Steven Higgins

Well, originally Nomura wanted to include a completely playable version of Days in I.5 but because he had to release the collection by the end of 2013 and the original data for KHFM was lost and had to be rebuilt from the ground up they didn’t have time to recode Days into a playable PS3 format. So when they started on II.5 he likely decided to do the same with Re:Coded so that the layout of the collections would be the same.

Since he wanted Days and probably Re:Coded to be playable in the first pace, I wouldn’t put a playable collection of the three entirely out of the question.

          • oooohhhh…

Then I guess playable versions might come true then. So that’s why they’re made into movies: time was the enemy.

Well, with 2.5HD remix coming, and the little clips of KH3D included here…

SE might really re-release KH3D. If it does happen… KH3 is the next game.

Well, all we gotta do is wait then. That’s all we can do. Wait and wait and wait.

Let’s see the next major trailer for 2.5 HD Remix. If there’s even MORE KH3D clips jammed into it, SE’s teasing further for a re-release. If they can remake GBA’s Chain of Memories, re-release the DS KH as movies, re-release all the major KH entries into their own Final Mixes, then re-releasing KH3D is definitely not out of the question. And like what you said, playable Days and re:coded can be included too.

Well, let’s just wait! Hopefully more info will come to us on TGS 2014. That’s where we’ll see.

  • Ducked

Anyone else see Riku in the background in the KH3 tease?

  • Vash bane

o.O well now. that scene with aqua or her armor on the ground which game is that? I don’t really recall that scene

    • That’s still Kingdom Hearts 2… but the Final Mix form XO man… SE included many important story elements in the Final Mix version .But glad it’s in this remix version

    • Michael Mario

It, and the scene with Namine, Axel, and Riku were previously only present in the Final Mix version.

  • Am I the only one here who noticed that SE sprinkled scenes of KH3D into this trailer? XD

EDIT: THE HELL! THE ARTICLE PICTURE USED IS THE ONE FROM KH3D! SE… You’re really teasing us well with KH3D.

  • lel

Dayum, cant wait to get my ass kicked by the lingering will.

    • Göran Isacson

I wonder if his lines will be voiced now, or if they will keep them text-only.

      • Steven Higgins

They’ll likely keep him limited to text just like they did with Unknown in I.5

    • Nice Boat Quatro

God I hate the lingering will. It has to be the most broken boss in the PS2 next to the Demifiend from DDS1

  • Göran Isacson

HHNNNGH that song. I don’t think I’ll ever truly get tired of that song, it will always send hsivers down my spine, regardless of how disappointing 2 was. Oh well, at least there will be BBS as well, and that will be glorious.

Also *STORY SPOILERS TO FOLLOW HERE*, young Xehanort and young Eracus discussing the “lost masters”… the warriors from before the Keyblade War broke out? Will they be the 13 Darknesses… or will they perhaps be unleashed, and the NEW trilogy will be all about a new world with suddenly, hundreds of Keyblade Wielders again?

  • Snorlaxation

Yes. Please! My body is so ready for this…

  • fayt255

Well I’m just happy I will be able to play BBS on a bigger screen!

  • isotrex

For those who’re lost at the game. You can always read the wiki, watch LP, or just play it yourself the KH 1.5 and 2.5 remixes. I believe it would really help.

  • SoundMatch

Am I the only one who wants a JP Voice DLC for this?

    • holyPaladin

      You’re not alone dude
Just for the change of pace…
Reverse Final Mix (JP Voice, English subs)

  • Ric Vazquez

I predicted 2.5 and it’s contents since 1.5 came out, it’s logical since KH3 is in production. Now people who never had a PSP but have a PS3 will be able to enjoy Birth by Sleep (which is my favorite KH) in HD and the final mix version nonetheless.

  • Naruto

I thought they said it would come out early in the year not at the end of it.
