A Fan Translated Black Desert’s Lore So You Don’t Have To

Those interested in Black Desert’s backstory but couldn’t wrap their heads around the Korean now have a resource. Worldwide Game Watchers took it upon themselves to translate parts of the lore.

You can head over to their site and get the full breakdown, which tells the tale of where the title comes from—the kingdom of Valencia and its huge stores of Black Stone minerals.

Black Desert recently finished its closed beta test, and will be headed to PC in Korea and Europe.

    Oh, it was coming out in Europe, too?? I didn’t know that! Do we know if it’s coming to NA, too?

      Last i heard they were still looking for a publisher for English language versions for UK and America. I think the European one is Russian, i have no idea if its been translated to English for that version. I heard they were in talks with different people but it seems they’re having difficulty getting a company to wanna pick it up. ;;

      • KoRLumen

        Ah, okay! Thanks! I find it kinda strange how they’re having trouble finding someone to pick it up o_o The game looks sooooooo good (๑▪ ▵ ▪๑)

          Haha yeah it is weird, i read an interview with a developer and both he and the interviewer were kinda baffled that this was happening. The quality is very high, it has some different and refreshing features compared to current market MMOs. All the posts i saw from testers just couldn’t praise it enough. im sure it’ll happen eventually.
