Valiant Hearts Tells The Story Of War Through The Eyes Of A Dog

By Sato . June 9, 2014 . 4:35pm

During Ubisoft’s E3 conference, they revealed Valiant Hearts: The Great War, an upcoming game that shows the tragedy behind the first World War through the eyes of a dog with its fellow brother in arms.

Unlike other war games, Valiant Hearts: The Great War will focus more on the bond and stories of the soldiers in the war-torn Europe, showing the devastating effects of war, as the they continue pushing on the frontlines.

While we don’t know much more about what to expect from the game in terms of how it’s played, as far as the story goes, it looks like it’ll be one big tear-jerker starring a medic dog and its friends at war.

Wow…thanks siliconera! Was having a great night, now i’m depressed, lol.
This look really interesting but way too emotional for me, just the trailer had me tearing up.

  • CozyAndWarm

Wow, Ubisoft really hates the Wii U now. Just like Child of Light, this could appear on the system without a problem, but they’re not even trying.

Sales where apparently bad…which I get. I’m not buying anything digital on Nintendo with their current account setup :/

  • Smooosh

That was really powerful, I was struggling to not shed a tear at the end… I have a huge soft spot for dogs.

  • Franggio Hogland

If the dog dies….just don’t please.

    • katamari damacy

Likely everyone else BUT the dog will die. The dog is telling the story afterall.

      • Franggio Hogland

        You monster….

  • BlakShiranui

I’m really anticipating this. The art-style, the story, and the potential tears I’ll shed are definitely the contributing factors that’s pushing me to buy this day one. Though I think I’ll wait for a few reviews to pop up to sway me even further.

  • Alexander Aubert

    such tearjerker

  • Cephrien

  • Skye Johnson

Well, this game has my money.

  • MrTyrant

I saw this in the stream…lot of feels there.

OMG… I miss my service dog chrome… I’m about to cry… i just cannot bare this.

  • Göran Isacson

Ha ha oh man. I guess if we’re never going to see Last Guardian, we can always go to this game for a heaping slice of emotional devastation (and now that I’ve said that they’re probably going to up and release that game on the same day as this game). Really looks neat so far, though I wonder if the trailer essentially just spoiled the endings of all the characters or if this is a bunch of misdirections in video format…

  • Bacon_n_Lettuce

Wow, really didn’t expect anything like this! It’s nice to see a game that deals with war without it just being another shallow shooter.

  • katamari damacy

UBI Art is making fantastic artistic games with a big name publisher behind them.
Rayman Legends, Child of Light, and then this? I’m really looking forward to what they do in the future.

  • Bunzi

Kind of hits close to home, this one. I’m looking forward to it.
