If you’re going to ride the E3 hype train all the way to a pre-order, you might as well get some savings out of it.

Earlier today Kmart tacked on a $20 Store Credit to tons of popular promoted games at E3 2014 (anyone else missing Kmart gamer, please also raise your hand). Some titles that qualify for the $20 store credit include the very excellent Super Smash Bros., Tales of Xilla 2Destiny, Evolve, and Lords of the Fallen. The bonus will require you to set up a “Shop Your Rewards” account, which is as simple as entering your email address – something that has to be done at checkout anyway. We listed some of the noteworthy titles below, but you can check out a full list here.

Also of note for this week: everyone’s favorite Luigi Death Stare game dropped by a solid 20% at Walmart from $59.99 to $48.79. Your choice of free shipping or free store pickup. If you haven’t bought Mario Kart 8 yet for whatever reason, this is a nice incentive. (Yep. Meet Walmart & Kmart, the new mecca of video game savings).

On the PC side of things, an additional pre-Steam Summer Sale has arrived in the form of GamersGate’s Summer Sale, which will run until June 19th and features a big 48 hour sale on SEGA games like Total War: Rome II.  As with many retailers, they’ll be rotating in new deals on a daily basis.

Kmart is probably one of the worst Companies i’ve ever worked for but they really do have a lot of great deals, bought a new 3DS charger with cradle for $4.85!

    • thomby

I’d have to agree with you on both things, actually. Oh, and this week I think if you purchase Tomodachi Life from Kmart, you get $10 dollars in points.

lol i worked at kmart 2 summers ago. I was in charge of the electronics section so i can say better than anyone that kmart is a severely underrated when it comes to games and accessories. they are so unorganized that you can find gems and classics from past generations laying around, not mention deals like these that pop up every once in a while. I can still get an employee discount so i might stack it with these deals.

      • Pandakids09 .

Haha yeah same here man one of the guys that works in the electronics was going to give me the 3DS charger for like 1 but i guess since it was inventory week the cool manger said he couldn’t since Lp was there

Very tempted to jump on this deal, but considering the hassle Kmart put me through last Christmas, I think I’ll pass.

Ordered $75 worth of gifts online and right after my order went through, I got an email telling me that a bunch of the stuff was out of stock and I’d only be receiving the one $10 item. Whatever, it was close to Christmas, no big deal. But then a few days later, the package shows up at my house with only the $10 item… yet they still charged me the full $75!

Took me nearly a month of back-and-forth with customer service reps who spoke broken English to finally get my money refunded, and even then they gave me a random amount that wasn’t even the exact amount I was owed.

So I’ll pay the extra 20 bucks and buy Smash Bros somewhere else. Chances are, the reward points would expire before I used them anyways.

True enough that if Kmart is a hassle best to avoid.

Walmart’s straight up discount on Mario Kart 8 is solid though.

    • Pandakids09 .

Sounds a lot like the Kmart i used to work for lol

Those are some really good deals!

  • James Enk

nice offers… i live in EU

  • fairysun

I am hoping a bundle edition for Wii U or 3DS XL for new Smash(Seriously they have not come up with the subtitle, i.e. Melee or Brawl, for the game yet?)

    • NeptuniasBeard

For WiiU/3DS has been the permanent title from the start

      • MagcargoMan

And that was a stupid decision.

  • revenent hell

That’s pretty cool. Sadly for where I live Kmarts are fairly extinct. The closest one is about three to four hours away, hence not worth the deal considering what my monster would eat up in gasoline. Or for any car really.

Edit: I will also add here I don’t typically order online for most stores unless one is close by me it’s just a little idiosyncrasy of mine

  • http://bossrushsociety.co.vu TokenDuelist

That’s funny, I mean, KMart? Those are still around?

    • MagcargoMan

      They are in Australia.
