Link Draws His Sword For Hyrule Warriors

Recommended Videos

Hyrule Warriors from Tecmo Koei and Nintendo takes the world from the Legend of Zelda series and mashes it with the hack ‘n slash gameplay from Dynasty Warriors. This video shows Link wielding a one-handed sword in same area as the E3 demo.

The main difference is the Dodongo boss is out on a grassy field instead of being trapped in a castle. Link still kills him in a similar way to previous Zelda games, by feeding Dodongo bombs. In Hyrule Warriors this stuns Dodongo and makes him vulnerable to a sword rush. Link can also wield the Fire Rod, as seen at E3. Princess Zelda uses a rapier and has a different set of attacks.

Japan gets Hyrule Warriors on August 14. Nintendo has the game scheduled to come out in North America on September 26.
