Of course, I finally have eShop credit and this is the one time they don’t put Soul Hackers on sale.

    • andref

Soul hackers is 14.99 on the eshop

      • Brimfyre

        I want it for $5.

Just kidding. Great news, It was $29 last I checked. I’ll get it now.

  • JMaster3000

Europeans, move along, nothing to see here.

    • Adrián Alucard

Well, at least those games are avaliable here, in Europe

      • JMaster3000

For the price of 30 Pounds aka 51$….. awesome.

        • Ethan_Twain

Stop it! Stop the whole “European video game consumers are victimized” narrative!

Yes, I realize that since localizations for Europe means two or three language translations they often take a long time or don’t happen at all. And yes, I realize that often times foreign markets and currencies don’t favor the video game enthusiast.

And I also realize that complaining about the hardships of international gaming is a popular thing to do on this website in particular.

None of that has anything to do with this. When the North American distribution branches of Atlus and Ubisoft offer eShop sales in North America it has no bearing on European markets. Europeans aren’t owed equivalent discounts, they don’t suffer more greatly when other continents enjoy discount prices.

So take your complaints about the hardships you face somewhere else. Somewhere where they’re at ALL relevant. Try the open thread.

          • Shane Guidaboni

It really is getting old. It’s practically every thread. It’s unfortunate for you European gamers, but don’t complain every chance you get.

          • Adrián Alucard

” I realize that since localizations for Europe means two or three language translations they often take a long time”

False. Most of these niche games (SMT, Etrian Odyssey, Code of princess, Persona…) are NOT translated, and are released as “english only” games with the same text found in the american release

    • Ethan_Twain

The first line of the article is “Both Ubisoft and Atlus are holding discount sales on the Nintendo eShop in North America.”

So, uh, thanks for reiterating that I guess. Yes, this article covers some deals offered by North American publishing branches.

  • Jason Ryer

Why is zombiu more then black flag?

  • Guy Wesley

So, just wondering…How’s Code of Princess? I was considering getting it since it’s on sale.

    • Anesia Hunter

Nowhere near as good as Senran Kagura.

      • Kornelious

    • BillyMK

It’s good, it’s a bit slow in the begining but as your characters level up they get faster. The soundtrack has some neat themes.

But Senran Kagura is better indeed.

      • Kouji Tamino

I liked Senran Kagura, but it was way too long for how repetitive it was. I also don’t see why people always compare the two games.

        • BillyMK

Just because they’re two (the only two?) good beat’n ups on the 3DS.

          • Satori Satya

You can’t go wrong with the classics:

            3D Streets of Rage
            Double Dragon
            River City Ransom

    • Scissors

It’s pretty awesome, but it requires a lot of grinding and I mean a lot. I stopped playing it because I made it to a boss fight and he would kill me in 3 to 5 hits, and all my hits did almost no damage. I fought him for like half an hour and barely managed to lower his health bar 1 fourth. I really enjoyed what I played, but the grinding really put me off. If you like grinding give it a shot, if you don’t maybe pass.

  • DeAndre Atchison

The best thing about atlus is that they want you to buy their things with the constant sales. I might have to get a 32 GB memory stick just to hold their games alone

  • Aspenharls

    Ooh, a sale!
Wait, I already own everything I want,(except for Tom CLancy) from the sale

  • Zoozbuh

I recently bought Devil Survivor Overclocked for £30 ($50) on eShop. It’s so frustrating that these games never get discounted over here. Dammit Atlus, I really hate you lately…

  • Kumiko Akimoto

    I would but that dub

    • Amine Hsu Nekuchan

I know! They just sound so… wrong… so completely different than the voices I had created for them in my head.

      • Jadfish

i-is it possible to turn them off completely?

    • Nobody

I like the voices. They all fit. The only one that ever bothered me (and still does) is Midori’s. Atsuro’s voice actor was well chosen, however.

How long are the sales for, does anyone know? ^^

Oh my, thank you for taking the time to reply with such detail. ^^ I really appreciate it!

  • あっかり~ん

Read “Devil Survivor” in the title, instanly think of SMT DeSu 2 Break Record. Please Atlus!

    • Lumi

      Yes!! (And dual audio please!)

  • Nobody

I want Shadow Wars, but am $2.50 short. Damn.

  • Jadfish

Oh, Devil Survivor got a 3DS facelift?? I had so much fun with the DS version some years ago. Has anyone played it? How does it compare to the DS version?

    • Satori Satya

I got into handheld gaming with the 3DS, so I missed the glorious DS days (but I’m trying to play as many of the DS classics as I can these days). So I can’t tell you how they compare to each other. But I’m loving the game so far on the 3DS.

Hope this info helps you though:

Review Excerpt #1: “If you already own or played the DS version, this may not be the reboot you were hoping for. For those coming to the title with a fresh face however, prepare to be impressed.”

Review Excerpt #2: “it isn’t truly a 3DS remake that utilizes all of the systems capabilities (including a very small amount of 3D), it does feature polished graphics, the addition of voice acting, and a new scenario to add to the multiple endings from the original version of the game”

      From the wiki:

The port features enhanced art, voice acting for almost every piece of dialogue, new demons and an extended story (8th Day)

        Thanks man
