    I heard from someone
the US ver will have english dub
correct me if I am wrong

    • Crevox

      nope

    • Ladius

It isn’t, the game will be dubbed in Japanese and subbed in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

    • Arcana Drill

you’re wrong, US is sub only too.

  • Siery

    So looking forward to it.

  • Ladius

I’m pleasantly surprised by this November release date, it’s sooner than I expected and it will still provide us a nice break after completing Tales of Xillia 2. I’m really looking forward to this game, I hope it’s successful and Innocence R can have a chance too.

    • ZEROthefirst

Hopefully Innocence R if localized will get a dub as well, and no wacky localization changes.

  • ZnTxn

Ameth became Amethyst? I like this, it makes him even more fabulous.

  • Arcana Drill

End of battle quotes were confirmed to be subtitled too, for those who were wondering about it.

    • Ladius

That’s really neat, I didn’t expect them to fix that. Do you have a source for this?

      • Arcana Drill
        • Ladius

          Thanks, that’s really great.

I hope that news will get a little more coverage in the next hours, I would have missed it if you hadn’t mentioned it.

    • Anime10121

FANTASTIC news! The videos released earlier had me worried, as the end battle quotes show a lot of the character personality!

    • God

Guess i won’t know what they are saying during the fight, but i can live with it… Are there any important conversations that occur during a boss fight?

  • Alex Cattaneo

Does it have a pysical edition 2? then its a must have!

    • Ladius

Yeah, it’s a Gamestop exclusive in the US (I think you can get it from other retailers or online stores though, like Playasia) and a regular retail release in Europe.

  • Rose Spinoza

US companies are slackin’ on givin’ release dates lately….

  • Nas

More reason to love the vita.

  • ZEROthefirst

So for those in the U.S. it will more than likely be released sometime between November 12-16th. That’s how I usually see releases between the U.S. and Europe. The U.S. on average gets the game a few days earlier or later than those in Europe.

  • http://hanzoadam.tumblr.com/ Hanzoadam

Pre-ordered it a while back, November is a bad month for me too many games ¬_¬ and Akiho (robotic;notes) model. but I’ll have to make it work

  • Masa

Japanese voices with English subtitles for a Tales game…WOOHOO!
Just recently finished Xillia and the dub voices were horrendous except for a few.

    • Freud_Hater

I appreciate that you mentioned ‘except for a few’.

    • ZEROthefirst

      Opinions = Opinions

      • WakeUpAndThink

It seems like whenever someone thinks a dub is bad, others feel the need to point out how this is “only an opinion.” But if people claims that a dub is good, they expect every “reasonable” person to agree with them.

I guess that is what happens when we feel pressured to rationalize what is nothing more than personal preference. Comparing the quality of two different languages is like saying McDonalds objectively tastes better in another country.

Either way, it can only be subjective.

        • ZEROthefirst

My opinion is always the same, if you like dubs then that’s your preference, if you like subs than that’s your preference. My reason for posting that is because there’s always someone who has to make the pointless post about how subs/dubs are better than the other. I’m not expecting anyone to agree with me here, just pointing something very obvious out that people need to stop posting as if it’s fact.

          • WakeUpAndThink

Why do people have to state “in my opinion” after every opinion they make? It is already obvious when someone makes an opinion, there is no need to remind them.

          • ZEROthefirst

Because you’d be surprised how many idiots don’t get that without blatantly pointing it out. It’s more so to let them know “hey think.”

          • WakeUpAndThink

I hope you realize that calling someone an idiot and pointing out that what they posted is an “opinion” is going to have the complete opposite effect. They will simply dismiss you as a jerk (as they should, frankly.)

          • ZEROthefirst

You’re not paying attention to my posts at all are you? The terms “In my opinion” are used to point out to others that you’re giving your opinion and not stating as fact that everyone should abide by. Me just saying idiot was because too many people don’t get the obvious posts about giving their opinion and saying “in my opinion” is needed to point it out to them because they can’t figure that out. Not sure why you’re bringing up the whole in my opinion type thing though because it’s not in my post or Masa’s above that I responded to about opinions being opinions and nothing more.

          • WakeUpAndThink

We’re not scientists giving opinions that could be mistaken as fact. We’re discussing video games. Spotting opinions as simple as they come. There’s no objective way to judge the quality of things that people enjoy as a hobby.

While it might not be your intention here, I see posts like that often used to dismiss opinions the person simply doesn’t want to hear. Yes, these are our opinions, that’s what makes this a discussion. Instead of being aggressive and trying to censor people, we should encourage them to explain their way of thinking, i.e., “Which character voices did you dislike and why?” I want to know why people think the way they do. That’s the point of discussions, right?

    • http://amc9988.deviantart.com/ amc99

From the trailer released, I see that the subs and the voice gonna have problems that the original wii Muramasa had

    • Guest

      They sounded fine. =P

    • darke

I just recently started Xillia since the 2nd one is coming out soon, and put it on hold for the same reason. Yeah I can mute the voices; or I can play a game with voices that don’t annoy me. Was kinda looking forward to it too.

  • Kornelious

Huh, that’s a lot sooner than i expected. I assume this means the the NA release will be on November 11th right?……….RIGHT!? >:(

  • Ardus

Really wanted to try the 2D version that came out on DS but hey at least its coming here.

    • ZEROthefirst

Absolute Zero are translating the DS version of the game to come out at some point. They put it on hold for the moment to not get in the way of sales for Hearts R, but maybe sometime next year you’ll be able to play the original version translated.

  • raeldor

The Vita has been getting some Killer RPGs lately and it looks like they’re being localized more than ever. Long live the Vita!

    • Ric Vazquez

      Amen

  • Ty Austin

IGN said this was the US release date, are they accurate?

    • Jimmy Bump

Thats not possible its IGN they aren’t allowed to guess and get the date right like I do.

  • Spirit Macardi

So they went and gave the Hearts characters translated names and English voices for their cameo in Graces, yet their own game comes overseas and all that goes out the window.

I’m not saying that Japnese language tracks shouldn’t exist; by all means, make them an option for those who want them. But at the same time, I want to listen in a language that I understand.

The remake already lacked features from the DS game, so combined with this I’m thinking I’ll skip out on this one.

    • Ty Austin

I never understood this mentality. You’d rather have no game than a game minus a couple features? From what I’ve heard, they’ve added a ton of new features not in the DS version anyways.

      • ZEROthefirst

Gameplay-wise Hearts and Hearts R are ENTIRELY different games. The only thing that really keeps Hearts R as a remake of Hearts is the story, other than that they could have labeled it as an entirely different game.

      • SerendipityX

Honestly if game doesn’t have the features you want or enjoy why bother when there are plenty of other games to play? I’m not buying Tales Hearts b/c it has no English dub. Instead I’ll buy Xillia 2 b/c it does.

      • Spirit Macardi

The new features don’t interest me though. Fighting Hubert and Pascal is sort of interesting, but since this isn’t dubbed that means I won’t have the nostalgia factor of hearing Steve Stanley and Kate Higgins reprising their roles. Plus in the original DS game it was a fight against Guy Cecil, a character I like far more, and afterward you got him as a summon.

And the removal of the cameo summons was a huge red flag for me to begin with. Especially when one of said summons was my favorite videogame character of all time.

In fact… Yeah, if this game had let me summon Klonoa, then I wouldn’t give a crap about the lack of dubbing; I’d have already placed my preorder x3

    • Izzeltrioum

Except the tons’a features from R surpass the DS ones; only Klonoa and KOS-MOS shippers will always complain. And let’s just forget about Infinite Evolve, shall we? Only true legit rage is lack of Richea Catleya and her p*ssycannon (Perhaps that fog scene, Quartz World memory and Kohak’s Satsugeki Bukouken’s final kick too).

Seriously I was like you BEFORE I played the actual game. I 100% understand you, I once bashed this game to oblivion for the awful 3D models as I’m a total sprite-only lover. Cameos, Hell Wells, The 4 GentleCameos, Spir Mazes’ counter, The goddamn last Iroi that I had nightmares finding, etc–those I can live without (Well maybe except the counter. It totally nailed emotional events at best). As a total ToH DS enthusiast, I had a decent experience with R; from new combat system mechanics such as the Chase System to the new images through the plot. Weapons can all be obtainable and you no longer risk the possibility of an awful weapon build from Soma Build.
And Nakamura’s music is not that bad, but that’s just me (His RM works were astounding). Nobody with a straight face can claim Who are you Fighting For is good by any means. Not even its arrangements.

If you get over the clunky running animations and stuff, you’ll be doing yourself a favour of not losing a decent tales game that’s better than what Team Symphonia has done in recent memory in terms of combat system..

  • Kornera

I am fine with the subbing since I already played through the DS version, but the only thing that bothers me is the name changes they decided. Hearing Shing only to read Kor is still kind of silly to me.

    • ZEROthefirst

Bamco’s reasoning for this is that in some areas where the game will be released, Shing is a derogatory term or something along those lines so it has issues. At the same time though for the language subs of this region they could have changed Shing specifically for that region and left it alone for everyone else. It’s a bit annoying yeah, but just have to deal with it.

  • http://danierc-polloconpapas.tumblr.com/ Eduardo Rocha

I have no problem with japanese dub, in fact I like them. But it’s strange considering they changed some names. Oh well, as long as I can play this and understand what’s happening I’m okay with it.

  • Alestaos

Cant wait to play this game i have be dying to play it since the DS version so glad its coming out. Two great Tales of games this year. And hopefully an amazing new one next year. And then to top it off i have KH2 Remix and SAO Holow Fragment too. Its a great time to be a Tales of fan and just a regular JRPG fan ^^

    • Ric Vazquez

Agreed, I’ve also been waiting for a localization since it came out on the DS and I was beginning to think I would never be able to enjoy it unless I learned japanese ( which I am) but Namco Bandai is goinf to deliver.

  • artemisthemp

Looking forward to playing Tales of Hearts R.

Anyone remember if, Tales of Hearts R will be getting a Psychical Release or if, it will be Digital only?
