Watch This Morning’s Nintendo Direct Presentation

By Ishaan . July 11, 2014 . 4:29am

This morning, Nintendo held a brief 22-minute Nintendo Direct presentation in Japan that focused on a select handful of third-party 3DS games.

The presented included: Final Fantasy Explorers, Tales of the World: Reve Unitia, Dragon Quest X for 3DS, Forbidden Magna, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and a new Kenka Bancho title tease.

You can watch the entire presentation above. Individual trailers will be going up soon, and we’ll publish them as they are released.

So in short Monster Hunter 4 hype only… Awww still no super dimensional sakka after Go series :(

    • Nightstar1994

Man, I’d love new Inazuma Eleven so much.
Hopefully the new movie in Japan did well enough and the PC Online Game will too, so this francishe can start planning it’s comeback.

  • Takuya

    No Break Record…welp

  • SMT

I was really hoping for a Bravely Second teaser, but…
Final Fantasy Explorers just looks SO good! It actually seems to live up to its expectations from this, which is quite impressive.

Knowing Nintendo we’ll get more directs related to other 3ds games later this yr.

    • J_Joestar

Well i guess SE already showed up twice in this direct so they decided to save it for later.

  • Paul Rodriguez

Lots of good games, no big surprises, great trailers. Looking forward to seeing more. I can’t say I’m disappointed in any way. Now I play the waiting game.

  • anthony apduhan

No wonder why there is no 3rd party character reveal on this direct… Sakurai must have kept it hidden til showing it on monday

  • James Robert Thompson

Oh Dragon Quest X, why you no come out in the west!

    • AuraGuyChris

Because it’s not popular, or so SQEX thinks.

      GOOD THING NINTENDO EXPANDED BD.

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

FF Explorers looks really nice there.^_^ While, i don’t really like Tales of World, the fact that we are going to get a new Kenka Banchou is great.^_^

Forbidden Magna and Mon Hun is lightning my hype here.^_^

  • British_Otaku

Final Fantasy Explorers looks really good! Dragon Quest X 3DS would attractive if I wasn’t paying a subscription – I’ll finish Monsters Joker and DQVIII first thanks.

I wish Forbidden Magna had a more strict movement system like Valkyria Chronicles than letting you go anywhere within a circle but I like the idea of bounce damage though I’m not sure about the deliberate choice with the “janky” animation. Tales of the World is another SRPG I’m considering but how Project X Zone turned out and their record with DLC puts me on edge. Demo please? Either of you?

Glad to see Spike Chunsoft continuing to support the 3DS, I’ve been interested in Kenka Banchou for a while and enjoyed their take on Attack on Titan. Monster Hunter 4G looks dope but I just want to know whether I can get that Zelda and One Piece free DLC again.

This October is going to rock for the 3DS again.

If the DQ X gets localized I doubt you will have to pay a subcription similar to how MH Tri was free outside of Japan. MH DLC is usually free.

      • British_Otaku

I have a Japanese 3DS as my primary system of choice, so their pricing model now is my problem, not when/if it comes to Europe and America, though it would be nice for them to drop the subscription for other regions.

Search for Phatom Brave/Makai Kingdom gameplay and I think this is more or less what Forbiden Magna is. The comparison with VC was for me wrong.

  • nonscpo

So mostly a bunch of games we were already aware of or new ports.

  • darryl scott

    no offence Nintendo but….
the Wii u is about to Die… right now,,,,

    • http://people.ign.com/princerevolver Surgeon Of Death

No need to be overdramatic over something that isn’t true.

    • kylehyde

No offense but, did you watch the last E3? almost everything that nintendo displayed was about Wii U.

They give the wii U almos all the spotligh

      • AuraGuyChris

The only main problem with that was that a lot of those games don’t come out until next year. Unless I missed something and some are coming out this year…

        • Miss_Madness

Smash, Hyrule warriors, and Bayonetta 1&2

          • Lilburrito

Sonic Boom and I guess if you want to count it, Shovel Knight recently.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

u know, it is like Ninty does not just announced tons of games on E3 here.T_T

    • Hexodious

People have been saying that for years, trust on this little quote:

“Don’t believe it until you see it.”

    • darryl scott

      wow…
is it safe to come out now?
      cool.
i was just posting how i felt. as my wii u collect dust as of now.
      peace

  • Hau To

A tactics game for Tales of the World Reve Unitia? Interesting.

  • DungeonRPG

makes us realize how much we take Iwata for granted – none of these guys can even speak properly to an audience in front of camera (the over-video narration is fine though)

  • landlock

Only really interested in FF Explorers and maybe Forbidden Manga (don’t know enough about it) out of those.

  • Vash bane

the one thing people wanted to see the most… explorers xp and it looks really nice o.o I admit monhun with a story peaks my interest.
(I know 3rd had a slight one where you became the hero of the village…or is it 2 villages?)
