  • Mashiro Shiina

Oh, naughty dog if you could give us a jak x combat racing HD game for ps3/vita, I would be so happy

    • Shady Shariest

They are too busy milking The Last of Us. ‘m afraid

  • Zizal

I don’t like idol games , but I’ll import Super Sonico to support Imageepoch.

    • niko

They don’t need support, they can just use wahtever support she does. Stuff is magical.

  • HarakiriKami

    Dat sonipro mang

  • Mika Moreno

    I wish i could play SoniPro >.<

    • British_Otaku

I hope it is a good game, I would be importing it but with Senran Kagura 2 releasing so soon (August 7) and SoniPro having no demo, limited edition and being delayed often just like Island Days, I feel like waiting a bit.

      • HarakiriKami

        Import it

        • British_Otaku

Don’t tell me how to live my life.

          Bakunyu before Aidoru.

          • HarakiriKami

You got amazon’s before either of those lol

          • British_Otaku

As a matter of fact, yes (Bakunyu > Amazones > Aidoru), but I already bought Seisou no Amazones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrekM8LQgd0

So Super Sonico might be imported this year.

  • DesmaX

For those picking up The Last of Us on PS4:

    Don’t run on multiplayer. Please

Let’s take bets on how badly Soni Pro and Prisma Illya will sell. On the other hand, I expect Precure to rack up a decent number of sales over time.

    • Kumiko Akimoto

Well I can understand the dislike for Sonipro maybe but what’s wrong with Illya?

      • DesmaX

It got 2 “4″ scores on Famitsu, I believe

        • Serge

          Daisenryaku: Dai Toua Kouboushi (PS3) – 5/6/5/5 [21/40]
          Enkeltbillet (PSP) – 8/8/8/7 [31/40]
          Fate/kaleid liner: Prisma Illya (3DS) – 4/6/4/4 [18/40]
          HappinessCharge PreCure! (3DS) – 7/8/7/6 [28/40]
          Majo Ou (PSP) – 7/8/7/7 [28/40]
          SoniPro: Sonico in Production (3DS) – 7/8/8/7 [30/40]

3 “4″. And SoniPro did well enough.

      • http://www.siliconera.com/ Ishaan

Yep, what @DesmaX:disqus said. When Famitsu scores a game that low, you know it’s probably utterly broken.

As for SoniPro… it isn’t really about personal distaste (although, admittedly, I kind of am creeped out by Sonico and the way they treat her body/figure). More about the way the game was being marketed and how it’s been delayed.

I’d be surprised if it sells well, but I don’t know much about the Sonico fanbase in Japan at all, so we’ll see.

        • Velen (Not WoW)

Sonico is actually quite popular in Japan, such that she appeared in something that is basically Super Robot Wars where all playable characters are popular female characters (including Louise from Zero no Tsukaima, along with Siesta and Tiffania from the same series), along with some more obscure female characters (to me) that I’m not familiar with.

Not to mention the craploads of fanart on the internet including places like DeviantART and Pixiv.

Trust me, Sonico can quite the fanbase going, so I wouldn’t count it out just yet. It could end up being a wild card.

          • http://www.siliconera.com/ Ishaan

Oh, I know Sonico is one of those popular mascots that the folks on Pixiv like to play around with, but I don’t think that’s necessarily indicative of the number of people that would be willing to buy a full-priced game featuring her.

As someone else pointed out above, the PS3 game featuring her didn’t do all that well. Perhaps Nitroplus and the publisher weren’t expecting too much out of it, but even so, 11,000 is a fairly low figure.

          • Velen (Not WoW)

Well she was and apparently is popular enough to be featured in a game outside if her franchise. Also. You forget there are quite a few people on Pixiv, and the number of fanarts she has is massive to put it mildly. I know, I’m a Pixiv member myself.

Furthermore, she’s had figurines also made of her and statues too, and if I’m not mistaken, those have sold quite well.

So again, don’t count it out yet. I’m somehow willing to bet the low sales figures has a lot to do with the pricing of the PS3 and the game combined rather than the game alone.

          • http://www.siliconera.com/ Ishaan

            I guess we’ll find out!

        • Kumiko Akimoto

But famitsu scored all three corpse party games low but their not terribad.

    • KuroNathan

      I’m guessing it won’t even break 100k

      • JMaster3000

Off topic: Why haven’t i seen that Totori face on Atelier Totori?
Is it in the newer games? If so don’t say which i’ll find out ;A:
Been playing the Atelier series for a month right now.
Have beat Rorona Plus,Totori and started Merueru now.

    • Zizal

Motto SoniComi PS3 first week was around 11K. I think the 3ds game will be 3K – 6K range , but I’m hoping for 20K.
I didn’t like the demo for Precure but looking at past games sales I think you are correct.

      • http://www.siliconera.com/ Ishaan

Yeowch. Yeah, definitely not a good sign for SoniPro there.

PreCure I’m more confident about because Namco’s “girl games” on 3DS have been doing very well. There’s an audience for those, and stuff like Precure and Aikatsu is helping cater to it.

        • HarakiriKami

What do you think about the pachi pachi games?

    • DanijoEX ♬ the Cosmic Owl

I’m putting my bets on Precure as a safety bet. That said, I’m not putting much hope or anything (actually) on SoniPro. Mostly, because, I know next to nothing about Sonipro.

      • HarakiriKami

She has a rival in this game.
Looks really really good on the 3DS too

    • HarakiriKami

      Sonipro isnt gonna bomb lol

Fate will. That game is shit.

    • British_Otaku

Betting that Prisma Illya will sell 6K if it even charts.
SoniPro seems like the type of game which could sell 10-20K safely if the anime was still running, I’ll stick to that even if it doesn’t have that luck.

Then I suppose these are the types of games which have little resources put into their development, especially Prisma Illya.

  • d19xx

Rogue Legacy on my Vita. ^_^

  • KingGunblader

It all comes down to personal taste, but for me it’s sad to see my favourite RPG developers like Imageepooch and Mistwalker release mobile games and idol sims.

Again, I don’t play the games, so my opinion doesn’t mean much but is Soni Pro really going to do any better for them than Arc Rise Fantasia or Luminous Arc?

  • lel

All i can read is “this week in imports: oppai and lots of revealing outfits”

    • HarakiriKami

hey dont you talk shit about my sonico

      • lel

Bwahahaha just saying the truth fella.

  • Justin Graham

I don’t know why I’m surprised that the PSP is still seeing new releases in Japan. I really shouldn’t be, but there it is.

    • darke

Well it’s only recently been put out to pasture, so there’s still games flowing through the process. Really, provided that there’s still enough consoles out there for them to turn a profit they’ll keep making games for it.

Two of those games are otome games by the look of things anyway; it’s not as if you need extreme pixel pushing power for VNs. :)

  • Land of Green Pasture

    Every time I see “Luminous Arc”…. it’s painful…

    • HarakiriKami

The game got 2 sequels. You want mre?

      • Land of Green Pasture

well, if it means moar SRPG (okay I know there’s Disgaea, and old remnants of FFT like tactics ogre, but well beaten games are beaten)

        • HarakiriKami

          I like you.

  • http://hatintime.com/ ShadowFang

Curious to see how Child of Light performs in Japan. Hope they appreciate it – that game is GREAT!

  • Shadow Bloodedge

If Imageepoch is reading this, I wanna play Soni Pro, too!

  • http://www.siliconera.com Jenni

As weird as it sounds, I actually want that Sonipro game. I mean, I hate her character design, but the music and idea that what she sings shapes how she behaves?

    • HarakiriKami

      Its great
